Ender Ender - 2 Desktop 3D Printer Kit

Okay, I had let this thing sit on the back burner but I finally busted it out. The DIY build was easy. The Chinese guy building the thing in the video is pretty good, but there were a few places where I wished he had shown the part a little better to help indicate direction, but all in all easy. "Debugging" was pretty easy. Its a quick matter to level the bed. Especially if you use a playing card. They say A4 paper, and that probably works well, but so far, I haven't been disappointed. The product is great quality for the money. It is on par in price with the Mini Fabrikator I had previously purchased, but this thing has a heated bed, bigger build area, build area is unencumbered for easy access. The filament stand is a good idea, but a SLIGHT fail because it so happens I have 1 roll of filament that is just too large. It was a problem when I had the Fabrikator working too. The filament they send works well, but isn't enough to print the test kitty if you get errors, which I got one or two. But 3rd time was the charm. The print quality on this thing is AMAZING for the price. I can't wait to print more stuff with this thing. Really great desktop 3d printer. The only two flaws I see so far is again, the filament holder could be a millimeter in diameter smaller and several centimeters longer so that larger rolls with smaller mounting holes could be used. The other issue is where the filament runs by the Z axis screw. It needs a small guide to keep it away from the screw. But now that it is operational... guess what I'm printing!

Suggestion

To reiterate the cons:A) Guy could have done a little better job showing off parts he was using, but it wasn't a big issue.B) Filament holder could use a little improvement, but most people likely don't have unwieldy rolls of filament like this one.C) Filament needs a guide past the Z axis screw.

A very compact 3D printer, has a heatable plate and thus except for PLA very well suited for ABS material. A solid 3D printer, accurate enough and with a working surface of 150x150mm which is perfect for your hobby. The printer is not too big so it fits well in any hobby room. The construction is not difficult, but it takes several hours to screw everything together perfectly.

-Really cheap -Prints just as fine as more pricey printers -Small, doesn't take much space -Easy to find improvement parts (utilities on thingverse, new extruder, nozzles)

-Fans make much noise (but is easily replaced for) -Needs to be a bit of handy and have patient, but that goes for all 3d printers.

Easy to put on a desk, not too intrusive on my desk whatsoever.Parts were neatly put in place for easy assembly.easy to setup and to printing right away.Instructions were easy to follow and had tools for assembly.
