The IP Code (or International Protection Rating, sometimes also interpreted as Ingress Protection Rating*) consists of the letters IP followed by two digits and an optional letter. As defined in international standard IEC 60529, it classifies the degrees of protection provided against the intrusion of solid objects (including body parts like hands and fingers), dust, accidental contact, and water in electrical enclosures. The standard aims to provide users more detailed information than vague marketing terms such as waterproof.

The digits (characteristic numerals) indicate conformity with the conditions summarized in the tables below. For example, an electrical socket rated IP22 is protected against insertion of fingers and will not be damaged or become unsafe during a specified test in which it is exposed to vertically or nearly vertically dripping water. IP22 or 2X are typical minimum requirements for the design of electrical accessories for indoor use.

    Great genuine Garmin device for price that you cannot beat. GPS tracking is precise and connects quickly. I also like the auto pause feature which is handy when you have to cross the road or stop at the traffic lights. There are more advanced devices on the market however this one serves the purpose if you are looking for device that tracks your activity (average speed, top speed, time, calories, distance, ascent etc), and lets you compete in the training mode with the virtual partner. Solid build and good battery life. You can connect the device to PC and to Garmin Connect which helps you to analyze your activity in detail.
    Suggestion
    Language is defaulted to Chinese - however simple search on google will help you find instructions on how to change the language to English (there are only two language options Chinese and English). Charger is not part of the package instead there is USB cable so not a big deal. Overall great buy!

    Ciekawa alternatywa dla zwykłych liczników
    Urządzenie dedykowane rowerzystom świadomym potrzeb - w końcu w tej samej cenie można kupić znacznie bardziej funkcjonalny licznik tradycyjny z pomiarem tętna i kadencji. Osobiście stwierdziłem że prędzej pod tętno kupię smartwatch'a który przyda się także przy biegach, do roweru wystarczy Garmin Edge 200.
    Osobiście kupiłem go jako alternatywę dla tradycyjnych liczników - wkurzały mnie problemy z czujką przy kole a smartphone znów nie zapewniają tak długiego czasu pracy, poza tym utrata telefonu a utrata licznika w razie jakiegoś upadku...
    Firmware niestety nie daje się podmienić. Próbowałem na miarę moich możliwości ingerować w firmware ale ostatecznie nie przyjął oprogramowania od europejskiego brata.
    Czas pracy w pobliżu deklarowanego - dotychczas miałem okazję raz doprowadzić go do rozładowania, dwa dni i łącznie ponad 14 godzin użytkowania.

    Велокомпьютер работает только на китайском и английском. Нетривиальная задача - выбор среди иероглифов в дебрях меню пункта, меняющего язык на английский. Сам бы не справился - подсмотрел на ютубе. Дальше все намного проще.
    При подключении к компу открывается флеш-диск, с которого попадаем на страницу Garmin-connect, там можно зарегиться и сбрасывать туда свои достижения. Посколько у девайса нет блютуф интерфейса, работать с планшетом он не захотел - вся связь только по USB с компом. Впрочем мне этого хватит. За ту цену, что я его взял ($45 по акции и купону), для Гармина это просто даром. До этого были копеечные китайские одноразовые велокомпы (через сезон переставали работать), этот надеюсь прослужит долго, навигаторы Garmin у меня уже были - ничего плохого о них сказать не могу.

    девайс пришел полностью разряженный, все инструкции и стартовые меню на китайском

    Real value for money
    Edge 200 is a really simple yet powerful device. Setup configuration menu is quite easy with lots of settings. I can easily transfer my rides to the PC by simply attaching the usb cable and then transfer the files to Garmin Connect. The screen display is clear and visible even in direct sunlight.
    The package comes with all necessary accessories, like usb cable and two sets of bike mounts.
    Attaching to the bike was really easy.
    Suggestion
    No bluetooth connection, but that's why it's cheaper than Garmin Edge 500 and higher models.
