MoFun - 963 DIY Assembled Electric Robot Induction Educational Toy

At first, thanks for this cute little robot. This is a Christmas gift for my children so I had a hard time at Christmas' Eve when I had to assembly two at once. :)
Pros:
- The design is really cute, the inner mechanic is very good
- The instructions for assembly are clear, there was no problem at building
Cons:
- The software works a bit strange. In theory, there are two modes, the "adventure" mode where the robot walks and avoid obstacles; and the "follow" mode when robot go after a hand or other solid subject that is in front of its "eyes". In practice, in adventure mode it does nothing, only in every 5-10 seconds it moves its legs a little. In follow mode, sometimes go backwards and if it doesn't observe anything to follow, it starts rotating, looking for something and this is wierd. So in fact, no modes are really usable. It really needs a software upgrade.
- The motors are a bit loud

I learnt that there is a remote controlled version of it. If I had known, I'd rather bought that one as the "automatic" modes are not really mature. So my children use them as dolls. Still these are so cute the kids play with them. It definitely worth the money, though it would be very good if we could have software upgrade for "AI" :-D

Very interesting toy. It took me and my 5 and half old son two days to assemble. We were very strict with the instructions. In some places in the manual there were missing part numbers but we figured it out. At the end the robot was walking! After 10 minutes I realized it does not turn around as it should following my hand or avoiding obstacles. I disassembled it and found out that one of the motors wasn't working.I just turned it a bit and tested before assembly and it was fine now Maybe we somehow turned its wheel while we were mounting it. So is very important not to play with the parts until toy is done. I suspect the batteries won't last long but time will tell. One minus is that if the obstacle is under his eyes he won't see it. Well we turned that into a good thing and put a small ball so the robot was kicking it. Overall we had fun with it .

We were really exacted to assemble the robot with my sun 7 years old. The instruction is quite good and understandable, but with adult help. The plastic details is in good quality and we were really glad to assemble it. When we finished assembling work we turn it on on mode '1' and... it doesn't work properly as it expected.. My sun was really confused and upset ((
1-st mode: it goes only back if set arm on front of him. No any other movements...
2-nd mode: the robot just spins around only body without movement!

I've wrote question to GearBest Team and thy return me my money what is good. But for the other side my sun was really upset. So create your own decision are ready to be ok if robot wouldn't work as expected

Tout d'abord, le colis arrive rapidement, environ une semaine, c'est un point positif.
Ce robot est idéal pour s'initier au montage d'un appareil par soi-même. La notice est en anglais, mais vraiment très claire, les schémas aident énormément.
Il faut cependant bien repérer les engrenages fournis, car les tailles et les formes diffèrent. Un code couleur est indiqué sur l'inventaire des pièces, mais ils sont tous blancs, et pour la notice de montage, un numéro d'engrenage est noté... mais c'est un petit détail.
Le montage prend environ 1 heure, avec le détachement des pièces de plastique compris.
Il faut faire attention a ne pas pincer les fils électriques lors du montage des différentes pièces, sinon c'est simple et plutôt ludique.
Pour le prix et la rapidité de la livraison, gratuite en plus, que dire de plus... sauf prévoir 4 piles AAA.
C'est un petit jouet que je recommande

Посылка шла неожиданно долго 33 дня, еле-еле успела к Новому году в подарок внуку. Коробка можно сказать выдержала путешествие, не помялась. Робота собрали часа за полтора, но из-за того, что из трёх коротких осей шестерёнок, одна была значительно короче остальных, она не фиксировалась на втором конце и шестерёнка болталась, поэтому робот молотил ногами только в воздухе, а ходить отказывался. Пришлось разбирать, сделать ось из гвоздика такого же диаметра, но уже нужной длинны, всё получилось, начал шустро ходить. С управлением всё тоже не слава богу, за рукой ходит нормально, а вот ходить самостоятельно и огибать препятствия отказывается.
