BLUBOO smartphones - big brand with budget price

By  GB Blog Official 2017-08-11 1308 2

With Xiaomi and Huawei taking center stage in smartphone manufacturing, we cannot overlook other smaller Chinese brands. In this post, we take a closer look at BLUBOO and BLUBOO smartphones, including the brand’s bestsellers: BLUBOO Maya, BLUBOO S1, BLUBOO Picasso, BLUBOO X9 and others.

BLUBOO Brand: introduction

BLUBOO was established as a mobile brand back in 2009 and is a branch of Shenzhen's Huihua Exploit Technology Co. Ltd company, set up in 2006. BLUBOO specializes in creating modern, cost-effective smartphones, smart watches and accessories (cases, screen protectors, etc.) and is a high tech enterprise with a strong R&D team and over 500 full time employees. The company currently exports to over 100 countries and regions including Europe, South America, South Africa, South and Southeast Asia, the Middle East, etc.

Now, let's get to the most interesting — BLUBOO's bestselling smartphone models and the specs and prices that have won them their popularity. From the bezel-less BLUBOO S1 to the budget BLUBOO X9, take a look at the best BLUBOO deals on GearBest.

BLUBOO S1 4G Phablet, $199.99

We kick off with one of the company's latest smartphone models that has already managed to create quite a bit of hype around itself thanks to the special bezel-less design. One look at the smartphone is enough to pique your interest.

BLUBOO S1 4G Phablet

Featuring an expansive 5.5 inch FHD screen with 1920 x 1080 resolution and a 2.5D curve, the phone is definitely a looker. Having taken its inspiration from Galaxy S7 Edge, the S1 comes with impressively thin bezels (90% screen-to-body ratio) allowing for a truly immersive experience when it comes to watching media and browsing the web. Protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4, the phone's large display is also not as fragile as it looks.

Beyond the pretty exterior, the BLUBOO S1 runs on Android 7.0 and comes with the Helio P25 Octa Core 2.5GHz processor — giving you access to all the latest OS features right out of the box and more than enough power to explore them all in full. With 4G network support and dual SIM standby, the phone's connectivity is well up to par. What's more, you have the front fingerprint scanner for enhanced data safety and easy unlocking — all for under $200.

Bluboo Maya 3G Phablet, $83.94

Next in line, we have the Bluboo Maya 3G Phablet. This model is a great option if you first want to test the waters with the brand and try out a less expensive device than the flagship S1.

Bluboo Maya 3G Phablet

The phone's present price is $83.94 at GearBest and you get quite a nice feature set to explore: a 5.5 inch HD screen, 3G connectivity, MTK6580 Quad Core CPU with Mali-400 MP GPU, 2GB RAM + 16GB ROM, Android 6.0 OS and more. Yes, 3G connectivity might be a bit of a letdown, but, bare in mind that the phone is more than half the price of the BLUBOO S1. You get a nice classic design with an interesting back panel and two cameras: 8MP front and 13MP back.

BLUBOO Picasso 3G smartphone, $89.58

One of the brand's classics is definitely the Picasso 3G smartphone. The phone was well-received in 2016 thanks to its efficient specs and a friendly price tag — but be the judge of this yourself.

BLUBOO Picasso 3G smartphone

For under $90, the smartphone packs a powerful MTK6580 Quad Core processor, a nice 5 inch HD screen with 1280 x 720 resolution, Mali-400MP, 2GB RAM + 16GB ROM, supports dual SIM standby and easily "talks" to other devices thanks to Bluetooth 4.0.  While the model may not sport some of the latest features (no 4G connectivity, fingerprint scanner, and only Android 5.0 OS out of the box), it does come with an interesting design that is a big factor in the phone's "bestsellingness". The company lists 3D arc diamond texture (a nice smooth metallic feel of the back panel) as one of the main selling points. You will not find any physical buttons on the front panel — just the three virtual buttons on the screen.  The bezels are also quite thin making for an 80% screen-to-body ratio. The phone is available in several bright and classic colors: blue, green, yellow, rose gold, brown, white and black.

BLUBOO X9 4G Smartphone, $135.34

The BLUBOO X9 has earned its popularity as a feature-full budget phone. At just $135.34, the phone comes with 4G connectivity, a 5 inch FHD IPS screen with a 2.5D curve and a fingerprint scanner at the back of the phone (unlock your phone, control music, take photos, etc.). The phone's processor is MTK6753 64bit Octa Core 1.3GHz with the Mali-T720 GPU. Of course, you have your two SIM support and Bluetooth 4.0 for easy communication with other devices. You also get 3GB of RAM and 16GB ROM. As one of the brand's highlights, the phone comes with a thin-bezel design and a nice metal frame.

BLUBOO X9 4G Smartphone

Of course, this is not an exhaustive list of BLUBOO's bestsellers. You have the BLUBOO XTOUCH (3GB RAM, 4G connectivity, Android 5.1), BLUBOO D1 (5 inch HD screen, 3G, Android 7.0) BLUBOO Edge, BLUBOO X550 (5.5 inch IPS HD screen, Android 5.0 OS, 4G support) and others. Browse through GearBest's BLUBOO page and see if you can find anything to your liking. With a number of deals and discounts currently available, you have a good chance of trying out a new brand without the risk of overspending.
