The best alternative phones to iPhone X with similar key features

After all the waiting, all the rumors and all the expectations, the iPhone X is finally here – and it has brought with it some pretty impressive specs — as well as a hefty price tag. However, there are less pricier models on the market that sport some features that are very similar to the ones making the iPhone X a potential bestseller.
Edge-to-edge 5.8 inch screen
One of the main highlights of the iPhone X is the screen. The phone is said to be "all screen" with its expansive 5.8 inch display that stretches edge-to-edge and sports 2436 x 1125 resolution and 458 pixels per inch. It supports HDR, wide color, 3D Touch, and True Tone. Will you be able to find a cheaper phone with the exact same screen? No. But there are options that do offer a similar large screen experience.
The benefits of a big screen on smartphone are obvious — better media experience, gaming, easier browsing, etc. There are several models right here on GearBest that come with large screens and almost bezel-less designs. The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 phablet, for instance, features a 5.99 inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 16M colors. The display comes with 2160 x 1080 pixels resolution and 403 PPI pixel density.
Another option is the Elephone S8 4G phablet with a 6.0 inch 2560 x 1440 pixels screen protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.
Super powerful processor — A11 Bionic
It's hard to beat the device that promises to feature "the most powerful and smartest chip ever". The A11 Bionic is capable of 600 billion operations per second — the best smartphone chipset performance currently available on the market.
However, if you are looking for a really powerful phone for day-to-day operations, you have other options. For instance, the MediaTek MT6797 is one of the most powerful processors among Chinese manufacturers, coming with 2 x A72 cores clocked at 2.5GHz, 4 x A53 at 2.0GHz and 4 x A53 cores at 1.4GHz and scores 70,000 points on Antutu. LETV Leeco and Ulefone Gemini Pro 4G phablet both come with the MediaTek MT6797 processor.
Another strong option is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835— a speedy processor that is 35% smaller and asks for 25% less power than its previous designs, engineered specifically to deliver a long battery life. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 powers a number of flagships like the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 4G phablet.
Qi wireless charging
The iPhone X supports wireless inductive charging — a convenient cable-less way to keep your phone juiced up. But there are quite a few phones on the market that have long offered the same option. For instance, you can also charge your Moto Z 4G phablet wirelessly with the right mod.
Camera: 12MP dual lens + 7MP front cam
iPhones have long been known for their strong camera performance and the iPhone X has taken camera performance to the next level. On the back, the phone features a vertical 12-megapixel dual-lens camera with an f1.8 wide angle lens and an f/2.4 aperture telephoto lens. On the front, there is the 7-megapixel TrueDepth camera — the component responsible for the phone's groundbreaking facial recognition feature.
While you will not find a smartphone offering quite the same setup, there are a few models out there that put a lot of focus on the camera. The OnePlus 5 4G phablet is often called a "camera phone" — and for a good reason. It comes with a dual rear camera (20MP + 16MP) and a 16MP front camera capable of great selfies and low light shots.
So, there you have it. It may be impossible to "replace" the new iPhone X with a cheaper model in its entirety. However, if you are particularly fond of one or several of the new phone's features, there are less expensive smartphones capable of delivering a similar performance.
