14 tips about Beats Powerbeats Pro wireless Bluetooth earphone

By  Daniel Camilo 2019-05-31 6544 0

Apple's Beats announced the launch of its Powerbeats Pro wireless headphones on April 3, dubbed "sports-enhanced AirPods." Powerbeats Pro inherits the benefits of previous generations of sporty, all-wireless headphones for elite athletes, according to apple. Equipped with adjustable antiskid ear hangers and earplugs of different sizes, it can adapt to any high-intensity exercise without loosening. Improved sweat and water resistance design and excellent endurance will bring you a better training experience.

In addition to the excellent sports-supporting function, Powerbeats Pro headphones borrowed some great features from AirPods, such as the H1 chip boost, Hey Siri, charging case design (but the case itself doesn't support wireless charging), automatic in-ear detection, and microphones that can be used to make calls.

Powerbeats Pro is now available in black, but the three colors -- ivory, jungle green and navy -- will be delayed until the summer. The black model in China is still in the "coming soon" status. It may be released in the end of May, which is just in a few days. The price is $298.

If you want to buy an A1-chip wireless headphone, and hesitate to buy one because of not knowing the new product, or find it difficult to choose between powerbeats pro and the second-generation airpods, take a look at our detailed guidelines for new users who choose it for the first time. It will be helpful to your shopping after reading it.

1.How to charge Powerbeats Pro

Usually, Powerbeats Pro headphones come with enough power, but we still have to charge them. The charging box is equipped with a lightning charging port and a charging cable, and users need to prepare their own powerbank, charger or USB port charging from the computer. It has the same charging cable as the iPhone, so you can also charge it with the iPhone charger. Note that unlike the new AirPods, the charging case doesn't have a wireless charging option.

2.Charging mode

Each earphone is charged by the magnetic connector in the charging box (as long as the charging box has been charged), the left earphone charging port is on the left, the right earphone charging port is on the right, and the "b" sign on both sides is facing outward. Ensure that each earphone is magnetically fixed in place for smooth charging.

Unlike Powerbeats Wireless, Powerbeats Pro headphones don't have a charging port, so they can only be charged using a charging box. You can easily check the charging status of your iPhone or iPad by placing the charging box near your iPhone. The case also has an LED status light that goes white for a few seconds when the charge starts. When the battery level of the charging box drops to 40 percent, the light on the charging box turns red.

3.Battery life + charging time

Powerbeats Pro can play up to 9 hours between charges, talk time up to 6 hours, and all the charges in the charging box enable the headphones to play music for 24 hours. Beats says its fast-charging feature will allow each earphone to play 1.5 hours of music after a five-minute charge, or 4.5 hours of music after a 15-minute charge. It takes about 90 minutes to charge each earphone, and 2.5 hours to charge the charging box with the built-in earphone.

4.How to pair powerbeats pro

Powerbeats Pro matches iOS devices the same way AirPods and other Beats headphones do, as long as they run on Apple's W1 and H1 chips, and they do so fast. Put both headphones in a charging case, open the lid, and place it near an iPhone or iPad running the latest version of iOS. Click on the screen and everything is ready.

Another advantage of Apple's W1 and H1 chips is that they automatically pair with other iCloud devices. Pair Powerbeats Pro with your iPhone, and they automatically pair with your iPad, Mac and Apple Watch via the same iCloud account.

6.Android + others

If your Powerbeats Pro is already paired with one device, or if you want to pair it with another device via bluetooth, you can manually pair Powerbeats Pro by pressing and holding the system button in the charging box for a few seconds, until the status indicator flashes white.

7.Cancel pairing

If you cancel a pairing for an iCloud device, Powerbeats Pro is erased from all devices with the same iCloud account.

8.How to manually control Powerbeats Pro

Powerbeats Pro does most of the basic work with Siri's voice commands, but it also has the added convenience of having physical buttons on both headphones, including Beats logo b (MFB) buttons and a volume button. There are also magnetic charging connectors, microphones, adjustable headphone hooks and replaceable earplugs on both sets. The same controls can be done on either headphone.

9.Customized according to individual

Beats comes with four replacement earplugs that come with Powerbeats Pro. We have small, medium, large and extra large. By default, medium earplugs are pre-made, and you can remove them and replace them with larger or smaller ones to fit your ears and make sure they're comfortable enough to wear.

10.Activate Siri + other voice assistants

Powerbeats Pro works with voice-activated Siri, just as second-generation AirPods work with iphones, ipads, Apple watches or macs. You can activate your voice assistant by simply saying "Hey Siri" while wearing Powerbeats Pro. You can also activate Siri(or voice assistants on other platforms) by holding down the "b" button on the headphones for a few seconds. The buttons on Powerbeats Pro are mirrored in location and functionality, and you can access the same action from any headphone.

11.Physical keystroke function

Powerbeats Pro has the same voice capabilities as AirPods, but retains the same classic physical button audio controls as wired headphones.

To start or stop audio playback, just click the "b" button to play and pause. When using two earplugs at the same time or either earplug alone, the earphone can play audio in stereo adaptively.

Double-click the "b" button on either earphone to switch songs forward/backward.

You can also use the buttons on Powerbeats Pro to fast-forward or rewind, double-click and hold down the "b" button to cut back and forth in quick succession.

You can increase or decrease the current volume on either earphone, with a separate volume button at the top of each earplug.

12.answer the telephone

Want to answer or hang up your phone while wearing Powerbeats Pro? Press the "b" button on the headset once to answer or end a call. From the device's bluetooth menu, you can choose to use the left or right microphone by default, or automatically use either microphone by default.

13.Turn on / off

Like the AirPods, the Powerbeats Pro headphones have no power button. Powerbeats Pro turns them on when you take them out of the box and off when they come back in. When the sensor determines it is idle, Powerbeats Pro goes into sleep mode to conserve power.

14.Comparison with Apple's second generation AirPods

According to the foreign media who have already started to review, although Powerbeats Pro cannot replace AirPods in its positioning, it has three excellent selling points. The second is excellent listening; The third is excellent endurance.

Powerbeats Pro is ergonomically designed to fit your ear canal. There are two holes outside the cavity to balance the air pressure in the ear cavity when wearing the earphone. Ear hangers are made of memory metal, which is quite soft. With customized rubber earplugs, most people can wear them comfortably for a long time, even when exercising.

The in-ear design and fitted radians provide good noise reduction, giving the sound a fuller, clearer treble and bass, and a more compact sound. There are also many improvements to the headphone's internal drive, which provides a nice low distortion and dynamic range across the frequency curve.

In terms of continuation, you can listen to Powerbeats pro for nine hours in a row. It can easily beat popular headphones such as AirPods, Galaxy Buds, Jabra Elite 65t, and even traditional Bluetooth headphones. As the charging box can provide additional power, it can provide a total of about 24 hours of total service time.

Powerbeats Pro has a relatively high price, and the charging box does not support wireless charging. If it is also recommended for music enthusiasts, it is suitable for those who have a high demand for sound quality, often spend time outdoors or play sports, but have a lower requirement for portability. We believe apple is consciously making AirPods a "must-have" for iPhone users, and Beats Powerbeats Pro is the next best thing to choose except AirPods.
