CHUWI Hi8 tablet

Turn on / off problems

Check whether your tablet has power or not. If the tablet is out of power, plug in your tablet with the original charging cable / adapter and allow it to charge for about 1 hour before trying to power it on again. If it still doesn't work after charging, just long press the power button about 15 seconds to reset it, then wait for 5 to 10 seconds to restart.

The CHUWI tablet will enter sleep mode to save power if you don't use it at a certain period. Short press the power button to wake the tablet from sleep mode. After that, you can adjust the idle time to prevent the tablet goes into sleep in a short time.

Maybe it's caused by a software problem. Try to flash the CHUWI tablet with CHUWI Hi8 firmware to fix the problem.

Maybe it takes a long time to reset the tablet, and therefore runs out of its battery power. In this case, plug your CHUWI tablet into s wall charger with its original charging cable, wait for a while before restarting the device. If it still can't be turned on, charge the tablet with another charging cable and adapter, or power supply resource, then try powering on the device and check if it still has the problem.

Maybe the CHUWI tablet's battery is poor contact or the tablet has some problem. Just ask the seller for help if above method doesn't work.

Screen / SD card problems

Restart the tablet by long press the power button, if the device still turns on with a blue screen, maybe:

The initial system program is damaged or the system files are deleted wrongly.

The original drive doesn't match the new drive after you updating the tablet online.

To fix the problem, you could try to re-install the system.

Sometimes less of power will cause screen flashing. Charge the tablet if it hasn't enough power.

Maybe caused by wrong display refresh rate. Change a refresh rate: Start - Control Panel - Appearance and Personalization - Adjust screen resolution - Advanced settings - Monitor - Screen refresh rate.

Third-party software conflict may result in a flash screen. To solve the issue, try to flash the tablet, or contact aftersale service if it doesn't work after flashing.

CHUWI Hi8 tablet supports maximum 64GB external storage card. If your tablet cannot recognize the SD card, you can try following solutions:

Change another high-speed SD card if the capacity of the inserted card is more than 64GB.

Insert the SD card into another device to check if the card has problem or not.

Swap the SD card slot with a cotton swab or soft cloth.

Factory reset the device to try again, or else flash it with responding ROM firmware.
