How to block a number on Android simply
It is very easy to block a number on Android, it is simply done in the contacts application. This procedure must be followed:
1. Go to the contact sheet of the contact you want to block
2. Press the menu button on your Android or the three dots, depending on your model.
3. Select the “Forward calls to email" or "Block number check box”. This way, each time you receive a call from this number, it will automatically be forwarded to your inbox.
As you can see, the problem is that callers can still fill your voicemail with voicemail messages. They are redirected to this one no matter what. It's related to your operator, not your Android.
How to block several numbers at once
To block multiple numbers on Android, there are several solutions.
If you want to block a number without having it in your contacts, simply create a contact named Black List or Blacklist according to your level of anglicism, add all the numbers you want to block to it. The type of number is not important, they just need to be associated with this contact.
Then proceed as for a normal contact, all the numbers included in this black list will be automatically forwarded to your email. The advantage of this technique, as you can imagine, is that you can remove any mention of the unwanted contact from your contact list.
Block everything with an application
The other solution is simply to use a dedicated application. Some of them offer an incredible number of options. Calls Blacklist is one of these applications: graphically simple and intuitive, it allows you to filter both calls and SMS based on contacts and time slots.
App version: 3.1.18
App app size: 2.61 MB
Compatibility of the app: Android 4.0 or higher
Business model: free with in-app purchases
Of course, there are many other applications that filter calls (including unknown/private numbers) but some are resource-intensive and/or require permissions so be careful.
