How to connect Galaxy buds to Samsung and Android mobile devices?

The Galaxy Buds is a wireless earbud that connects to your device and listens to music or calls even when you're doing other activities, such as fitness. Here are the steps of connecting it to Samsung and Android mobile device.

1. Connecting Galaxy buds to Samsung mobile devices for the first time

1. Check the direction of each earbud, then insert it correctly into the corresponding slot in the charging protection case, and then close the charging protection box. If the earbuds battery indicator does not flash, charge the charging protection case to the charger for more than 10 minutes.

2. Open the charging protection box. The earbuds will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode and a pop-up will appear on the mobile device. If you don't see a pop-up window or if you want to connect to other non-Samsung mobile devices that use the Android operating system, see Connecting to a non-Samsung mobile device using the Android operating system (or no connection pop-ups are displayed). When the battery indicator of the charging protection box flashes red, remove the earbud from the charging protection case and insert it into the case.

3. On your mobile device, click the connection in the pop-up window.

Connection pop-ups are only displayed on Samsung mobile devices running Android 7.1.1 or higher and with the Samsung Connect app installed. If the pop-up window does not appear, update the Samsung Connect app to the latest version.

4. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the connection.

After the earbuds are connected to the mobile device, if the earbuds are inside the charging protection box, the earbuds will automatically try to connect to the mobile device whenever you open the charging protection box.

· If the earbuds are not connected to the mobile device within three minutes, Bluetooth pairing mode will be disabled. Close the charging protection case again and turn it on. The earbuds will enter Bluetooth pairing mode.

· If you want to connect to another mobile device after establishing a connection, see Connecting Galaxy buds to other devices .

· If the earbuds are not connected to the mobile device, the connection pop-up window is not displayed, or the mobile device cannot find the earbuds, tap the touchpad of both earbuds while wearing and manually enter the Bluetooth pairing mode. You will hear a sound when entering Bluetooth pairing mode. However, when the volume adjustment is set to the preset click-and-hold function, this method cannot be used when playing music.

2. Connecting Galaxy buds to a non-Samsung Android mobile device (or no connection pop-ups are displayed)

1. On your mobile device, launch the app store and download the Galaxy Wearable app.

· You can only download Galaxy Wearable apps on mobile devices running Android OS 5.0 (API 21) or higher with 1.5 GB or more of RAM.

· You can change the language of the Galaxy Wearable app on your connected mobile device. On your mobile device, launch Settings → General Administration → Language and Input → Language. If the Galaxy Wearable app does not support the language selected on the Settings screen, English may be displayed by default.

2. Check the direction of each earbud, then insert it correctly into the corresponding slot in the charging protection case, and then close the charging protection box. If the earbuds battery indicator does not flash, charge the charging protection case to the charger for more than 10 minutes.

3. Open the charging protection box. The earbuds will automatically enter the Bluetooth pairing mode.

4. Launch the Galaxy Wearable app on your mobile device and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the connection.

Pairing Galaxy buds with other devices

Launch the Galaxy Wearable app on your mobile device and tap → Disconnect. Alternatively, on your mobile device, tap Settings → Connections → Bluetooth and unpair the earbuds from your mobile device.

The connection between the earbuds and the previous mobile device will end.

Please turn off the charging protection box again and turn it on to enter Bluetooth pairing mode. Launch the Galaxy Wearable app and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the connection.
