Connect monitors to your laptop via HDMI, Displayport or VGA
If you have a standard PC monitor, simply connect it to your laptop via the HDMI, display port or VGA port.
1.Connect the monitor to either the HDMI, Display Port, or VGA port on your laptop.
2.On most laptops, use the "Fn" button and an "F" button to make settings to use the second monitor.
3.This allows you to expand the desktop or project the image from the laptop onto the monitor. You can also decide whether to use only one screen or two.
4.If your laptop supports multiple external monitors, refer to your laptop's manual. Most devices are not able to do this, even if they have two connections.
5.In addition, there are monitors such as the Asus MB168B+, which you connect via a USB slot. These are also powered via the USB connection.
6.Tip: The simultaneous operation of two screens via a VGA or HDMI interface and via USB works with most laptops without any problems.
Connect external monitor to laptop via docking station
As an alternative to the device's own connections, you can connect an external monitor via a docking station. Owners of a MacBook can enjoy a particularly large selection, but you can also find numerous docking stations online for laptops from other manufacturers.
Connecting the Tablet to your laptop as a monitor
An Android tablet or iPad can also be used as a second monitor.
1.Download the Windows version or the Mac version of "iDisplay" and install the program.
2.Then install the app for your iPad or Android tablet.
3.For the iPad version, your laptop and iPad must be connected to the same WLAN network. All you have to do is enter the IP address of your Mac in the app.
4.Your Android tablet can also be connected via WLAN. You can also connect your device to your laptop with a USB cable. This is especially useful if you are on the move and no WLAN network is available.
5.Now you can configure your tablet as a monitor.
