Configuring Xiaomi Router 3
The configuration of Xiaomi Mi routers is simplified: Router 3 is almost no different from the Mini model. The changes in the instructions mainly concerned the change of the Chinese language into English of the web-interface.
Connecting to an Xiaomi 3 router from a PC or laptop
First, the router creates an open network Xiaomi. Connect to it from your PC, laptop or tablet and type mifiwi.com in the address bar of your browser.
Accept the terms of the contract with Xiaomi and click "Next".
Assign a Wi-Fi network name and password to the router (and to its wireless network).
Here again it is suggested to combine the router password with the Wi-Fi password. Press "Continue" to enter your parameters.
Wait a minute or more - the router will start the Wi-Fi module and be ready to set up the Internet.
Connect to the Xiaomi Router 3 network with the new parameters.
Changing the firmware language of the Xiaomi 3 router
In some cases, when you connect the ISP cable, you may already have access to the network, so you can use a Google interpreter to facilitate your settings.
Go to 192.168.31.1 or miwifi.com and login.
Go to the "Routing status" tab (basic elements of monitoring).
Give the command "General settings - System status". Download the English version of the firmware for Xiaomi Router 3 beforehand.
Press the grey button - "Manual update". Select a location to save the firmware file. Wait for the router to update the firmware.
Select English from the Xiaomi Router 3 software settings.
Go to "Internet" and test (if necessary) the speed by clicking "Test (more)". The information about the Internet connection is displayed.
Write down the address of the gateway and DNS server - they will help in changing the settings, for example, if you change the tariff or renegotiate the contract in case of moving.
