How to find hackers: Seven Facebook tricks you should know

By  Ingrid You 2019-06-10 256 0

The average Facebook user spends at least 20 minutes a day on their favorite social network. If you've been there that long, you can use the time effectively with these seven tricks.

● Numerous keyboard shortcuts make it easy to get an overview

● With more security settings, you'll find hackers instantly

● You can download your complete profile

These keyboard shortcuts make your Facebook experience effective

First, you need to know which browser you're using to visit Facebook, because the shortcuts are different.

Internet Explorer: Alt + (number), then Enter

Firefox (PC): Shift + Alt + (Number)

Chrome (PC): Alt + (number)

Safari, Firefox, Chrome (Mac): Ctrl + Alt/Option + (Number)

Where it says (number) above, you must press a number from 0 to 9. Each represents a different area of Facebook:

0: Help

1: Home page

2: Profile

3: Friends

4: News

5: Notifications

6: Settings

7: Activity log

8: About Facebook

9: GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Also for the news there are some helpful keyboard shortcuts

j and k: Scroll through status updates in your news with these buttons

Enter: Opens a post completely (if it is not yet completely displayed in the news)

p: Create a new status update

l: "Left" the currently selected status

c: Comment on the currently selected status

s: Share the currently selected status

o: Open an attachment of the currently selected status.

Shift + 7: Opens a search bar at the bottom of the screen.

To check who is logged into your Facebook account

Simply navigate to the settings (using the small arrow on the far right in the upper blue bar) and click on "Security" and "From where you log in". There is a list of all computers and mobile devices that are currently logged into your account - you can log out any device.

To export Facebook events to your calendars

You are often invited to events, but very few people use Facebook as their appointment calendar. That's why there's a feature that lets you export Facebook events to other calendars such as Google or Outlook.

Navigate to the events. In the bottom right column, you'll find a short text with a link explaining how to export your Facebook events.

Get notified when someone logs into your account

In the security settings, which we mentioned two steps earlier, there is also the option "Login Confirmations". Here you can set that you will receive a notification when someone logs into your account. This can be via Facebook notification, email or SMS, depending on your preference.

Check what your profile looks like for strangers

Sure, you can set who can see it on Facebook for each status and photo. But it's hard to check each update individually. Maybe you forgot to lock out your boss with a single photo.

To test something like this, you can click on the three dots in your profile in the lower right corner of your cover picture and then on "Ads from the point of view of...". Now you can see what your profile looks like for people who are not friends with you. If you want the view of a certain person, you can select the search bar that appears at the top.

Download your complete Facebook profile

If you want to back up all your data - perhaps just before deleting your Facebook account - you can download your complete profile. This can be done in the settings under "General" and then at the bottom.

Not only all status updates and comments are downloaded, but also all photos from your albums and even all conversations you have ever had on Facebook.

And if you use a fantasy name, Facebook might lock you out soon.
