How to record the screen of your Android smartphone

If it is very easy to take a screenshot on an Android smartphone, making a screencast is a little less obvious, but it remains very simple. Recording the phone screen can be useful if you want to show someone a particular feature in video. But, who knows, you might also need it to publish a video on social networks.
In this tutorial, we show you how to save your Android smartphone screen.
The best application for screencasting your screen - at least the one we recommend most strongly - is called AZ Screen Recorder. The first step to save the screen will be to download it from the Play Store.
Once this is done, you will simply need to press the AZ Screen Recorder icon. This will cause a red dot to appear in a corner of the screen with a camera icon in the center. Click on it.
A menu will then be offered to you and the function we are interested in is the one of the center (here again, it is a white camera on a red background). Simply press it to save your smartphone's screen. A short message will appear to remind you what the application is about to do. Press Start.
A countdown will then appear - "3, 2, 1..." - and your screen is being recorded.
You can then navigate through your interface, everything is captured in a video. Here is an example of a screencast below.

To stop the screencast, simply lower your notification panel to access the AZ Recorder control bar. Tap on Stop and the video recording ends.
The video is then available in your photo/video gallery. Note that you can change the recording settings (such as image quality) by clicking on the star wheel. Also note that during recording, the AZ Recorder application records the surrounding sound.

The advantage of this manipulation is that it works on any Android smartphone, whether it is Samsung or OnePlus or for example. However, note that some brands such as Huawei, Xiaomi or Sony offer a native feature to record a video on your screen without using a third-party application.
Note that there are also other applications to capture your screen in video, such as MNML Screen Recorder for example.
