Xiaomi Mi WiFi router equipped with Wireless dual-band.Four powerful high-gain external antennas give wider coverage and better performance when lots of devices are connected, making it ideal even for large home! Today we will talk about how to reset Xiaomi Mi WiFi router.

This manual is suitable for all models: Xiaomi Mi WiFi 3c, Xiaomi Mi WiFi Nano, Mini WiFi, Mi WiFi Router 2. Reset can be done either by pressing the Reset button on the router itself or via the control panel. But since the control panel is most likely in Chinese (if you haven't installed the English firmware), it's better to use the button.

After restoring the factory settings, the router will be like new. And you're gonna have to reconfigure it. Reset often helps to solve many different problems. If the router is unstable, you're confused, or you can't configure anything, we reset and try again.

If you want to save the router settings to a file and then restore them, please see the second part of this manual, where I showed you how to do it.

Method 1: Restore factory settings with the Reset button

Press and hold the Reset button to reset. On the body of the Xiaomi router, there is a reset button. The button is marked with English: Reset. When the Xiaomi router is plugged in, keep pressing the Reset button for more than 10 seconds. This millet router is restored to factory settings, as shown below.

Method 2: Resetting the Xiaomi router via the control panel

Step 1: Enter in the browser > enter "administrative password" and log in to the settings page of the Xiaomi router.

Step 2: Open the "Common Settings" -> "System Status" -> click "Restore Now", you can reset this Xiaomi router.

Step 3: Click on the button on the right to restore the settings. If you click the button on the left, the router will ask you to save the settings to a file so that you can restore them later. If necessary, you can use this function and create a backup of the parameters.

Step 4: If you choose to create a backup, you can select which settings to save. I suggest you leave all the ticks and confirm the surgery. The download of the Xiaomi router settings backup file will start immediately.

Step 4: After clicking on the "Select a file" button, select the file with the backup of the settings.
