How to solve YI II 4K action camera screen & image problems

Here's a quick guide on how to solve YI II 4K action camera screen & image problems from fuzzy image to slow video playback.

First, make sure that there are no spots on the object you want to capture and that the camera lens' protective file is removed.

Check if the camera lens is clean. If not, use a clean soft cloth to wipe it down.

Try rebooting the camera: press the Power button + WIFI button together or to the camera's Settings to reset it.

If none of the above works, the camera's flat cable may loose, or the camera's lens may be damaged. You can take it to a local camera shop to check and repair. Alternatively, you can contact the after-sales service for further assistance.

Check if the camera lens is clean. If not, use a clean soft cloth to wipe it down.

Change the video/photo resolution in the camera's settings. Go to Settings - Video/Photo resolution and choose a higher resolution like 1080P or 4K.

If none of the above works, the problem may be caused my system errors. Reset the camera (do not format it: this will only format the camera's SD card). Go to camera's Settings and choose the reset option or press the WIFI button and the Power button together to get rid of system errors.

If resetting the camera did not help, update the camera's firmware. Download the YI II camera's firmware from its official website, then follow the steps in the YI II 4K action camera flash/update guide.

The problem may also be caused by a full or faulty micro SD card. Try switching to a good quality branded micro SD card like Toshiba, Samsung or MIXZA. Don't forget to format the micro SD card before using it.

If none of the above works, there is probably a problem with the camera's hardware. Contact the after-sales service for further assistance.
