With the disappearance of the Home button, taking a screenshot on an iPhone X, XS, XR or XS Max is less intuitive than before. In this tutorial, we explain how to make a screenshot on these Apple smartphones.

FrAndroid has been offering tutorials on Android for years. But we also wanted to venture across the barrier and discover what the evil iOS had in store. And since you have to start somewhere, here is a very simple tutorial to learn how to take a screenshot on an Apple iPhone X, XS, XR or XS Max.

Indeed, this question has been asked a lot since the disappearance of the Home button on Apple smartphones. This article is here to explain how to not miss your screenshot!

Hang on tightly, because the handling is particularly complex (no, in fact it is very simple). You will need to press both the main button (the one used to turn the smartphone on and off), located on the right side of the phone, and the volume up button on the left side of the device.

There's no need to press and hold for long: a short press is all it takes to make your screenshot on iPhone X for example.

Once your screenshot is finished, a thumbnail of it appears in the lower left corner of the interface of your iPhone XS, XS Max or XR. By clicking on it, you will directly access some customization options allowing you to draw lines or pictograms over them, but also to send them to a contact via the messaging service of your choice.

This feature is obviously reminiscent of what some Android interfaces, such as One UI or EMUI, offer. Moreover, if you prefer to discover how to make a screenshot on Android, we invite you to follow this link to discover our dedicated tutorial.
