How to use DJI Mavic Mini RTH (Return to Home) accurately?

The "low battery" RTH
This RTH will be used when your drone's battery is too low to continue flying. To avoid a possible crash of the device, DJI FLY will inform you that an RTH is necessary and if no answer from you is indicated, the drone will return after 10 seconds, at the height indicated beforehand. If the battery is really too low to ensure its complete return, the drone will land itself to avoid a crash.
The "intelligent" RTH
The intelligent RTH is simply the RTH function that you activate whenever you want, without any particular urgency. It can be stopped at any time during its journey thanks to the Flight Pause button on the remote control or via the application with the Stop button. Also remember that if your drone is within 20 metres of you when you press the RTH button, it will land exactly where it is.
The "emergency" RTH
This emergency function will intervene if you lose the signal from your drone for at least 3 seconds if you are flying by remote control or 20 seconds if you are flying it by Wi-Fi. Depending on the settings you have selected, this emergency function can act in 3 different ways.
First, a classic RTH can start until it recovers the signal between your command and the drone (once the command is recovered, you can cancel the RTH). Secondly, the Hover function will immobilize your drone in the air so that you can get closer to it and find the signal. However, if the "low battery RTH" function is activated, it will either come back on its own or land. And finally, you can also adjust your drone so that it lands directly in case of a problem.
How can I best use this function?
To optimize the use of the RTH DJI, you will first need to configure your Home Point. The Home point is simply the place you will have chosen to land your UAV, whether it is a specific point such as its takeoff point or depending on your position when landing at the location where the remote control is located. It will also be necessary to adjust the altitude of the RTH. The altitude is set at 100 meters but if your environment has larger obstacles it is better to increase the height of the automatic return.
DJI Spark, a special case
When the DJI Spark's RTH is activated, if it is between 3 and 20 meters from its point of origin, it will land in RTH with a customizable altitude option. If you enable this option, the drone will climb to 2.5 meters to perform its RTH. If the latter was already higher than 2.5 meters, then its altitude will be unchanged.
Also note: if your Spark starts an RTH more than 100 meters from its Home Point, obstacle detection will not be active. At less than 100 meters, the obstacle detection will therefore activate itself.
