2 set top boxes must connect to each other, easy is the whole process. Gadget Desk. If you have two TVs in your home, but use different umbrellas or two connections for both, there will no longer be a need to do so. In fact, you can play both the tVs at home with the same dish. Not only that, the channels will also come separately on both the TVs. With this trick you won't have to pay for two connections. However, the new rule for DTH and cable operators by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) is likely to come into effect from February 1. This means that from February 1, the user will have to pay for the personal channel.

The Whole Trick's

If you watch different channels in two TVs from one DTH, an extra settop box will be needed. Because only one TV channel can change from a settop box. There will be two set-top boxes for two TVs.

It's important to note that the box has an LNB IN port, but we need a settop box that contains the LNB OUT port. The TV will not run if the box does not contain these ports. The two settop boxes must have one MPEG-4 and the other mPEG-2 settop. The MPG2 settop box contains both THE LNB IN and LNB OUT ports.

DTH's main cable is to be attached to these ports in this settop box. On the other hand, the second cable connection from its LNB out port is mPEG-4's LNB in.

The MPEG-4 box you have to keep in another room.

Now you can view different channels on both boxes.

TRAI's New Rule

The channels that DTH and cable operators show you also have many channels that you don't see. That means you have to pay for these channels too, but that's not the case now. With the trai's new rule, no operator will be able to force fully impose any channel. You will only have to pay the customer the channel he selects. Customers may not have to spend even Rs 200 a month.

TRAI gave this information.

"We had a meeting with broadcasters, DTH operators and MSOs (multi-system operators) on Thursday," TRAI Secretary S K Gupta wrote in a press release.

All have confirmed the speedy implementation of the new rules.

However, he requested that the customers be given some more time so that they could select a better channel for themselves without haste.
