Newbie guide to e-cigarettes: must-read guide to vaping
What exactly do all the e-cig components do? We take a closer look at the mod, atomizer, and e-juice.
Then we examine what tell you what vaping involves.
What is an e-cig?
The electronic cigarette is also known as e-cigarette (e-cig) or personal vaporizer (PV). It's an electronic device with an attachment containing an atomizer filled with flavored liquid and powered by the battery or mod.
Some e-cigs do resemble the cigarettes, while others are not. It can provide a similar smell, but better taste and more flavor than the normal cigarettes.
A vaporizer is also referred to as a vape mod or a vape pen. They all basically have the same components inside:
1. The mod
This generally holds the battery and supplies the power to the unit by clicking the power button. The power cell will be a built-in battery or rechargeable lithium battery, e.g. 18650 / 26650.
They can be charged using a standard USB cable connected to a computer or a wall adapter. Or the better way: take out the battery and charge them with the external charger.
2. The atomizer
This carries the e-juice that provides the flavored vapor. The heating element heats up and creates the vapor that the user inhales and exhales.
3. E-juice or e-liquid
This fills the tank of the atomizer. It contains four ingredients:
● PG (propylene glycol) or VG base (vegetable glycerin)
PG is the base of e-juice and is responsible for producing a nice cloud, or vapor. VG is the carrier which holds different flavors for different tastes.
What is vaping?
This can be defined as the act of inhaling e-liquid that is heated through a personal vaporizer.
At no point is anything burned through the process of combustion, so no smoke, ash, or tar is ever created.
In fact, the term "smoking" doesn't apply because a PV doesn't produce any smoke, only vapor!
So, what is vaping? It's a better way for you to finally enjoy smoking without using unhealthy cigarettes.
