We have to be very careful with the SD cards we buy. The following points need to be considered:
● Buy an SD card from a known manufacturer
● All these GoPro Hero models require microSD cards of at least class 10 (Class 10).
● The Hero camera supports up to a 32 GB card,
● The Hero 3 Black Edition, Hero 3+, Hero + and Hero + LCD cameras support up to 64 GB.
● The Hero 5, Hero 4 and Hero Session cameras support up to 128 GB.
● GoPro Hero 6 supports up to 128GB cards
● The GoPro Hero 7 supports cards with a capacity of 256GB
What about the other GoPro Hero models?
● Hero 3 Silver Edition: Class 10 MicroSD up to 64 GB.
● Hero 3 White Edition: Class 10 MicroSD up to 64 GB.
● HD Hero 2: Class 10 SD up to 32 GB.
● HD Hero Original & HD Hero 960: Class 4 SD up to 32 GB.
What are the models of micro SD cards that GoPro, the company that manufactures these cameras, recommends to buy?
GoPro Hero 7 Memory Cards
It is the latest model of GoPro cameras, so the type of cards it supports is quite broad. We recommend buying the cards with the largest storage capacity so you don't run out of space for your videos. And if you can, buy several cards.
We've pointed out a few interesting options. Choose the one with the best price.

Memory cards for the GoPro Hero 6
For the GoPro Hero the brand recommends only one memory card, the SanDisk Extreme/Extreme Plus/Extreme Pro UHS Video Speed Class 30 (V30) ≥32GB (it is important that you have V30 to record in 4K).
● Read/write speeds up to 100 MB/s / 90 MB/s to trigger and transfer at extreme speeds
Includes A1: for faster application performance
● The UHS Video Speed Class 30 (V30) standard means your card is ready for advances in virtual reality and 360° video recording.
● Temperature, water, shock and X-ray resistant
● Professional video performance with UHS Speed Class 3 (U3) standard, for recording Full HD and 4K ● UHD video
Although they recommend only a minimum of 32GB, if you're going to record in 4K, go to at least 64GB to get enough memory (and if you can afford a 128GB card then much better). This card is also compatible with all GoPro models from previous years, but you may not want to spend as much money on older models that don't need such high specifications. Rate it according to how you're going to use the card with other devices.
