Santa's Village is celebrating its fifteenth year of fun, educational, and interactive holiday activities. Under Mrs. Claus’s expert guidance, the elves have updated the village with a snazzy look and feel along with some brand new content. And, thanks to a new, hot-cocoa powered heating system, the village will no longer take all of December to thaw—all two dozen activities will be available starting on December 4. Now the elves (and you!) have more time to play and explore in Santa's Village.

What is new?

• Build an elf: Build your own elf from head to toe and make sure it looks elftastic for the many holiday soirées happening on the North Pole.

• Dance(s) with elves: If your lifelong dream has been to start a dance troupe with a group of highly talented dancing elves, now’s your chance. Almost. Using a machine learning model called PoseNet, you can train an elf to learn your moves so can get your elf on the dance floor.

• A new way to track Santa: You'll also be able to see Santa's real time location on Google Maps—just tap on the hamburger button and then on "Location Sharing" to see exactly where Santa is throughout his journey.

• More holiday fun: If you're craving more holiday cheer, check out the Gboard holiday stickers available exclusively on Android app, and feast your eyes on trends such as the most uniquely searched cookie in each US state. Get in touch with the season's VIP by telling the Google Assistant to "Call Santa" and then wind down with "Tell me a holiday story" to enjoy some literary fun.

• NORAD won’t be affected by government shutdown: The agency will be tracking Santa for the 63rd year using satellites and radar. NORAD operates a call center, a mobile friendly website, social media channels and a "Santa Cam" streaming video. On Christmas Eve, people may call 1-877-Hi-NORAD (1-877-446-6723) to get an up-to-date report on Santa’s location.
