Since the FAA rulers changed, the drones weighing 250g or less don’t need to be registered with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) or the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) respectively. The DJI Mavic Mini just weights 249g. That means you needn’t register it with aviation safety authorities in your county. At least in the US and Australia.

Can I bring DJI Mavic Mini model MT1SS5 to Japan?
No, the Japanese MIC certification not permit the mode MT1SS5. And DJI offers the 199g DJI Mavic Mini drone with 1,100 intelligent flight battery.
If you bring the MT1SS5 into the US, of course, that is OK. If you are entering Europe or Japan, you may be detained by the customs, because you have not passed the local standard certification.
If there are other countries that do not have their own standards, they will generally recognize the US FCC. And if you fly FCC in non FCC country you just get a warning in the software.
