16-core Ryzen 9 3850X will cost $560 – new rumors about Zen 2

The Singapore-based Bizgram store has just published its new product catalogue, where you can find very interesting new products. It is about Ryzen 3000 processors, the much anticipated third generation of AMD, based on the Zen architecture (in this case on 7 nm Zen 2 technology), which have not yet been officially announced by the manufacturer, although leaks about them have been coming to us for some time. It is worth recalling that AMD promised that the new Ryzena will debut on the market in the middle of this year, so we will probably have to wait a little longer for the official presentation (we are betting on the turn of May and June at Computex) and even more so we should consider it as a surprise that they appeared in the offer of one of the stores, where not only the name but also the prices of the upcoming CPU were given.

It is worth reminding that AMD promised that the new Ryzena will debut on the market in the middle of this year, so probably we will have to wait a little longer for the official presentation.

It should be noted that at this stage, AMD has probably not yet finalised the prices and these may change, and Bizgram could have foreseen the amounts that AMD will probably charge for the specific models on its own. Nevertheless, a month before the launch of Intel's 9th generation processor, the store revealed their prices and some of the specifications, and as it turned out, these proved to be very accurate. Besides, it wasn't the first time that Bizgram turned out to be a reliable source of information, so it's worth looking at its new catalogue for the upcoming Ryzenses. The more so because the processors placed in it, in terms of names and order, coincide with the leakage from AdoredTV last year, and the prices in both cases are also very similar. Such coincidence may therefore suggest that something is at stake, but we would refrain from making any categorical judgments at the moment. Below you can see a list of processors, with their basic specifications and prices in US dollars (Bizgram gives the amounts in Singapore dollars):

▪ Ryzen 3 3300: 6-cores, 12 threads, 3.2 GHz to 4 GHz, 50W, $111

▪ Ryzen 3 3300X: 6-cores, 12-threads, 3.5 GHz to 4.3 GHz, 65W, $145

▪ Ryzen 3 3300G: 6-cores, 12-threads, 3 GHz to 3.8 GHz, iGPU Navi, 65W, $145

▪ Ryzen 5 3600: 8-cores, 16 threads, 3.6 GHz to 4.4 GHz, 65W, $200

▪ Ryzen 5 3600X: 8-cores, 16 threads, 4 GHz to 4.8 GHz, 95W, $258

▪ Ryzen 5 3600G: 8-cores, 16 threads, 3.2 GHz to 4 GHz, iGPU Navi, 95W, $224

▪ Ryzen 7 3700: 12-cores, 24-threads, 3.8 GHz to 4.6 GHz, 95W, $336

▪ Ryzen 7 3700X: 12-cores, 24-threads, 4.2 GHz to 5 GHz, 105W, $370

▪ Ryzen 9 3800X: 16 cores, 32-threads, 3.9 GHz to 4.7 GHz, 125W, $505

▪ Ryzen 9 3850X: 16 cores, 32-threads, 4.3 GHz to 5.1 GHz, 135W, $561

If this data is true, the Ryzen 3000 processors can be extremely competitive against Intel's rivals. It must be remembered that these CPUs will be based on a 7 nm technological process from the TSMC, which will allow to increase the frequency of clocks while reducing energy demand, and in addition, the new chiplet design will further improve AMD's production capabilities. However, we will all know in the middle of the year and until then it is better to keep an appropriate distance, and besides, it is worth remembering that Intel is preparing a response in the second half of the year in the form of its 10 nm chips.
