An original Samsung Galaxy s11 with rotating camera

By  Adeline Kuang 2019-05-20 298 0

The iPhone is not the only product to inspire the designers and these funds also give an important place to the products of the Samsung brand. Proof is, a designer has just put online a very original concept for the Galaxy S11, a concept featuring a borderless camera equipped with a rotating camera.

The more time passes, and more our smartphones tend towards a full borderless design.

But to get there, the manufacturers have to compete with ingenuity, especially in terms of the layout of the front camera.

A Galaxy S11 rather original

Some, like Honor, have chosen to integrate it directly on the screen. Others, such as OnePlus or Vivo, opted for a pop-up camera system, and still others went much further by developing rotating cameras. This is particularly the case of Asus and ZenFone 6.

This Galaxy S11 is also part of this trend. At first glance, the phone looks like any device in the range. Glass case, metal frame with rounded corners, borderless screen, the recipe does not change and we always find the same ingredients.

With one detail: the screen of the terminal stretches on the whole facade of its case. Only thin edges around the slab remain, edges not exceeding two millimeters thick.

The front camera, for its part, was simply removed and the designer behind the Galaxy S11 has decided to equip it with a rotating rear camera. When the user wants to take a picture, he just has to press a button. The piece containing the rear photo module then rises and turns on itself to place its different optics face the subject.

Galaxy S11 realistic mechanism?

The most interesting is that the rotary module integrates perfectly with the hull and we see no separation between the room and the rest of the backplate. Which gives a very neat aspect to the concept.

Now, in fact, one can reasonably ask if such a mechanism would be sufficiently resistant for everyday use.

Between the mechanism for raising the plate integrating the sensor upwards and the one that allows the part to turn on itself, such a device might finally be quite difficult to produce. Now, when we see what ZenFone 6 offers, we say that everything is possible.
