Apple releases macOS Catalina developer preview Beta 2

Users can download the new beta version of macOS Catalina using the software update in System Preferences. As with all new betas, major bugs may occur as this is an early version of the beta software.

macOS Catalina divides the iTunes app into music, podcasts and TV apps. Apple Music and Apple Podcasts apps are now available. Apple TV apps will be available later this year.

With macOS Catalina, a new sidecar function has also been introduced, with which the iPad can be converted to the second display of the Mac. Apple Pencil works with Sidecar to turn your iPad into a drawing board in applications like Photoshop and Illustrator. In addition, the new system offers Screen Time functionality and Project Catalyst allows developers to easily port their iPad applications to the Mac.

It is worth mentioning that 32-bit applications for macOS Catalina are no longer available. Currently, Catalina is limited to developers, and Apple plans to release the official version in the fall.
