The new DJI Mavic Mini drone discovered arouse a lot of interest. These pdfs, now removed from the site, but the photo certify the existence of this drone called DJI Mavic Mini and provide some reliable information. To the certain information, that can be obtained from these documents, are added the rumors on the other specifications. Here's what we know for sure about the DJI Mavic Mini and the most reliable rumors.

DJI Mavic Mini - the certain information

According to MIC documents, the new DJI Mavic Mini drone measures approximately 16.9cm long x 12.5cm wide x 5.5cm high. Dimensions very similar to the DJI Spark. The photos show that it is foldable, including propellers but without the possibility of quick release. We also know that it is powered by a 2S battery of capacity not listed in the documents.

DJI Mavic mini will work in OFDM, like Phantom 3 pro

We also know from test documents that the DJI Mavic Mini will run in OFDM modulation like the Phantom 3 Pro/Adv. As a result, the DJI Mavic Mini with the CE allowed power for the radio signal should roughly reach the performance of the Phantom 3 PRO/Adv which has a range of 3.5km. Given the small size of the arms and the relative sacrificed positioning of the antennas, the Mavic Mini will probably not be able to reach these maximum distances. However, as those who have used the Phantom 3 Pro/Adv can testify, OFDM modulation is much more powerful than wi-fi and, in addition to signal stability and better immunity to noise, provides a greater operating range for the same power output.

In addition to official information from MIC reports, rumors about other characteristics also flourish. The latest rumors say that the DJI Mavic Mini can also be conducted in wi-fi without a remote control with a range of about 100m. A weight of 245g is indicated with a flight autonomy of around 17-18 minutes. The Gimbal camera would be stabilized on 3 axes with a maximum resolution of 4K 30fps and bitrates of 60 Mbps and FOV of about 90°. 12 Mpx sensor with JPG photo shooting (it seems there is no RAW). The range declared in CE with remote control (so in OFDM) would be 3km in line with what we have inferred from certain information published by the MIC. Always according to the latest rumors, to see the official presentation of the DJI Mavic Mini will have to wait at least 2 months.
