The drive uses Toshiba's 3D NAND flash memory and Phison PS5016-E16 controller, which has no alternative when designing solid state drives with PCIe 4.0. As you know, the Phison PS5016-E16 controller has four lines of PCIe and is designed for high performance drives. In addition to this, Phison unveiled the PS5019-E19 controller for mass storage at Computex 2019 in early summer.
