Gallery Go: a new lightweight gallery app that will organize your photos without Internet

It is easy to deduce by name that the application in question is a gallery app for Android. However, what makes this tool special is that it has been developed by the same team behind Google Photos, and the goal is to bring an experience similar to that of the storage platform and organization of videos in the cloud, without the need for an Internet connection or reducing the maximum consumption of mobile data.
This is Google's new Gallery Go application
The app in question, announced by Google on its official news blog, is available around the world although the company claims to have designed it with the target in developing countries, and some of its functions will be exclusive to regions such as Nigeria.
The Gallery Go is designed to work offline, and uses automatic learning systems to organize and edit images automatically, similar to the Google Photos wizard.
It is able to automatically organize images according to the people in them, so that they are easier to find when you have a large film. In addition, because the operations are carried out locally, the data does not pass through Google's servers and therefore does not pose a risk to our privacy.
The application interface is simple and clean, following the lines of the rest of the company's tools. As soon as you open it, you'll see all the images organized by month in a vertical timeline - in the style of Google Photos, and at the top we have access to the video folders and screenshots. You can also access the folder view from the taskbar at the bottom. As we've seen, **the app includes a dark theme that activates automatically if dark mode is set on the device.
Google also introduces basic editing tools and support for external storage units such as microSD cards. All this in a free application that weighs no more than 10 MB. It can be downloaded via Google Play from today on any device with an Android version greater than 8.1 Oreo.
