Gears 5: Xbox One players could opt out of matchmaking against PC players for ranked matches

Recently, in a conversation with foreign media GameSpot, Ryan Cleven, director of multiplayer mode design for War Machine 5, said that War Machine 5 can indeed support cross-platform online between Xbox One and PC, which is also expected by players. But it is worth noting that the cross-platform online between Xbox One and PC is not mandatory, in qualifying and other multiplayer game mode, Xbox One players can choose not to match with PC players, PC players can also choose not to match with Xbox One. This selective matching mechanism is good news for players who are worried about the differences between the two platforms. 

War Machine 5 will be tested on beta this week (July 22-26) and will be eligible for participation by all players who pre-order the game or subscribe to the Xbox game pass. The beta test will provide "showdown-Versus" mode, training mode, challenge mode, and will not include any plot battle and cooperation mode.
