Global wearables shipments in Q1 2019: Apple earns biggest Q1 market share

Apple, which accounts for 25.8% of the market as a whole, is the number one wearable device provider. Apple shipped about 8.6 million units in the first quarter of 2018, up 49.5% from a year earlier in the first quarter.
Xiaomi and Huawei occupy the second and third place, shipments of 6.6 million units and 5 million units respectively, Samsung and Fitbit ranked fourth and fifth, shipments of 4.3 million units and 2.9 million units, respectively.
Overall, 2019 in the first quarter of the year, the number of wear equipment shipments reached 49.6 million units, an increase of 55.2%.
If you look only at the equipment worn on your wrist, IDC believes Apple shipped about 4.6 million units in the first quarter, or about 4 million in the first quarter of last year; Apple can only be in second place this year, with Xiaomi at the number one.
Xiaomi wrist wearing equipment shipments estimated at about 5.3 million units, a market share of 10.7%, slightly higher than Apple, Apple only 9.3%. Huawei, Fitbit and Samsung followed, shipping 3.9 million units, 2.9 million units and 2 million units, respectively.
The data also shows that Apple Watch's ASP (average selling price) is rising, at about $426 trillion in the first quarter of 2018, and climbed to $455 trillion in the first quarter of 2019 years.
Apple Watch was launched in 2015, and Apple is a new product every year. In the 2018, Apple watch Series 4 introduced new ECG health features with changes in design and narrower borders. In the 2019, it was rumored that Apple watch would introduce new housing materials and that the display would use new technology.
