Obviously, September 2019 is coming, but the newest GoPro action cameras haven’t be launched. The news about GoPro Hero 8 black still remains the latest rumour. We have been referred to in the early post.

New design - media module

According to the first leak, the upcoming action camera would be equipped with an LED indicator and an external display. Interestingly, the site adds that with the new sports camera, users can connect multiple accessories at the same time.

Recently WinFuture published more details about GoPro Hero 8 black. A housing, apparently called a multimedia module, will allow you to connect external accessories, including Light Mod with ten LEDs, a demanding external microphone to help your sound match the video quality of Hero 8 Black, and a Display

Another important detail of the WinFuture leak is that the Hero 8 Black will have an integrated mounting plate on the bottom.

Floaty redesign

GoPro Hero 8 Black will have the same water resistance as its predecessor and a depth of 10 meters. However, by looking closely at the images shared by the site, it seems that the action camera will have a recently redesigned lifejacket. Initially, the float was used to move the camera so that it would not sink and would be easy to see.

Gopro Hero 8 Black battery life

Another invariable feature is the battery, which looks like the 1,220 mAh we saw on the Hero 7 Black. This does not necessarily mean that the battery life will be the same. Some software adjustments can help Hero 8 Black to exceed the 45 minutes of 4K / 60p video recording of its predecessor.

Gopro Hero 8 Black release date, price

Gopro flaship action cameras usually arrive as the schedule every September. This fits CEO Nick Woodman’s statement in GoPro’s Q1 earnings call back in May 2019, where he said: “I’m happy to share that we’re planning an exciting refreshed lineup at all price points in Q4”.

We haven’t know there will be three different flavours of the GoPro Hero 8 and the GoPro Max 360, but we will see at least two new models at the conference.

The action cameras price is still unknown, because we haven’t see any leaks from the retailer. It’s  possible that GoPro will adjust the price tag according to the DJI Osmo Action.
