Headset Turtle Beach Recon 70 Review

With the so-called Gaming peripherals there is no lack of a huge range of helmets focused on these needs. Their priorities are to have a good sound, which in games like Apex Legens or Fortnite is ideal for listening to our enemies, comfort to play for hours, and a solvent microphone. Tutle Beach's Recon 70, designed for use on a Nintendo Switch, is more than ample.
Good helmets to play with
Let's go to the important thing: the sound. We tried the Recon 70 with direct coupling to Nintendo Switch and the result is that they have everything that is asked of gaming helmets in this aspect. They have a wide range of sound and could even be used for some audio editing for work more than amateurs. Even if you turn up the volume to almost the maximum, you can hardly hear the white noise that represents silence registered in sound devices.
It may be an exceptional case in itself, but it's not the most comfortable Turtle Beach product I've ever tried. The headband padding for the top of the head can be quite scarce for depending on and some moments we feel it hit the frame. The helmet is sometimes too bulky and small. They isolate the sound very well as they should be, but the leather-looking material becomes very heavy. And you can tell when you've been playing for a long time.
At least in the matter of weight it's pretty light and doesn't bother in this stink. We imagine that depending on each person and how the helmets fit. If so, we say that it is very important to adjust them well so that the comfort does not suffer.
On the microphone, little can be said. We have tested it and no bad sound is recorded. Better than expected for online games but little can be compared to table microphones designed for quality rather than to accompany headphones. To record a podcast or start narrating videos on Youtube, complies with a little audio editing and a few default settings but you will notice the difference a lot. Of course, whoever wants these headphones will want the microphone for voice chats in online games and Discord and it would be unfair to ask for high quality from a product that goes to a different audience.
Offering just enough for a good product
Apart from the above, the Recon 70 does not offer much more in the package or functionality. This is important because it makes it much easier and quicker to find in case of need, and because it prevents it from deteriorating over time according to other experiences I've had with gamer helmets.
One of the few important drawbacks I have is that it uses a single mini jack port for the microphone and helmets, so there may be certain incompatibilities if we want to use it on a PC. And according to the computer, if we want to use both the microphone and the headphones we will have to use a plug that separates the input and output channels, which are not included in the package.
And that's all the Recon 70 Turtle Beach has to offer. Their price is adjusted for a slightly more mid-range product without entering the top end. They work better than usual in sound and microphone, ideal for the gaming environment. They wouldn't be so great in different, more professional environments as sound editing or recording podcasts because there are better products for that.
Would we recommend the Recon 70 to anyone who wants headphones to play on Nintendo Switch, PlaYStation 4 or PC? Quite a lot. They are not excessively expensive and perform very well and more than meet the expected functions for products in this range.
Turtlle Beach's Recon 70 performs very well with the price range they're in. Some small comfort problems or those that are going to be as functional as possible mean that the product can be recommended to players and those who want good helmets, but not for those who want to opt for something for professional use.
