Honor 9X vs Honor 9X Pro: specs and what are their differences?

As the main force of mid-range smartphone market, Honor X series phones has won the favor of many customers with its excellent specs and high performance-to-price ratio. Following the previous generation of Honor 8X sales of more than 15 million units, Honor released Honor 9X and Honor 9X Pro today. Both Honor 9X and Honor 9X Pro are equipped with the latest 7nm Kirin 810 processor, which makes the phone have more excellent performance than other mid-range phones. What different specs and features do Honor 9X and Honor 9X Pro offer us? Let’s take a detailed look.

Design

Both the Honor 9X and Honor 9X Pro have a full screen design without notch and are equipped with a pop-up front camera. In terms of screen size, both the Honor 9X and the 9X Pro are 6.59 inches, and the resolution is 2340 x 1080p.

The biggest difference in appearance between Honor 9X and 9X Pro is the back design. Honor 9X adopt dual rear camera design and offers ordinary black, red, purple three colors; Honor 9X Pro adopts triple rear camera design and offers electro-optic gradient style of phantom blue and phantom purple. For young users, Honor 9X Pro has a more unique personality.

Performance

On the processor side, both Honor 9X and 9X Pro are equipped with Kirin 810, Kirin's latest 7nm mobile processor. The Kirin 810 is an excellent flagship level chip and it can compete with Kirin 980, Snapdragon 855 and Apple A12. its AI benchmark score reaches 32280 points.

In terms of storage, Honor 9X offers three memory combo options: 4GB+64GB; 6GB+64GB; 6GB+128GB. While Honor 9X Pro offers two memory options: 8GB+128GB; 8GB+256GB. For mobile game users, the Honor 9X Pro with larger memory is a better choice.

In other aspects, the Honor 9X series are equipped with Huawei EROFS Super File system and Huawei Ark Compiler, AI Smart Communication 2.0, dual 4G dual VoLTE double pass and 4G signal Intelligent switching function.

Camera

The biggest difference between Honor 9X and 9X Pro is their camera configuration. The Honor 9X adopts a combination of dual rear cameras and a single front camera. The rear camera is 48MP primary lens + 2MP depth lens, and the front camera is a 16MP lens.

The Honor 9X Pro adopts a combination of triple rear cameras and a single front camera. The rear camera is 48MP primary lens + 8MP wide angle lens + 2MP depth lens, and the front camera is a 16MP lens. Honor 9X Pro offers more camera features.

Autonomy

Surprisingly, both Honor 9X and 9X Pro are equipped with 4000mAh large battery capacity, which is enough for all-day use. And both Honor 9X and 9X Pro have been upgraded from the previous rear fingerprint sensor to side fingerprint sensor and it retains 3.5mm headphone jack.

Price

The price of Honor 9X starts from 1399 yuan, while the Honor 9X Pro starts from 2199 yuan. The two phones starts pre-sale today and will officially go on sale on July 30.
