HTC U13: A flagship with mediocre features?
By Daniel Camilo 2019-05-25 2600 0
In Geekbench's benchmark database, a smartphone with the model designation HTC 2Q7A100 has appeared, as GizmoChina reports. According to the entry, the device that could be the HTC U13 is equipped with a Snapdragon 710. But that's a Qualcomm upper mid-range chipset. It also has 6GB of RAM installed.
U13 for the middle class, U13 Plus as flagship?
It's possible that HTC is planning a mid-range smartphone with a good camera with the U13 that doesn't have to compete directly with flagships like the Galaxy S10 or the Huawei P30 Pro. This would allow the company to appeal to a different target group. In this case it would be conceivable that an HTC U13 Plus would also appear as a top smartphone with a faster chipset.
Perhaps the unknown smartphone is also a successor to the mid-range smartphone HTC U12 Life - or a new mobile phone from the Desire series. Soon we will certainly learn more. Since the HTC U12 Plus was released at the end of May 2018, the HTC U13 could become the manufacturer's first large smartphone in 2019.
