Huawei Ark OS could be the name of the total operating system developed internally by the Chinese manufacturer to be used in place of Android and perhaps even Windows.
This in the event that the trade war between the United States and China should intensify, confirming the US ban that prevents Hauwei not only from selling devices, products and services to US companies but also from buying stars and stripes in the country.
Rumors have long been circulating about Huawei's project to develop its own operating system, rumors recently confirmed by a company executive who specified it will be a universal operating system, capable of running on all devices and computers of the Chinese manufacturer. So not only smartphones, tablets and computers, but also televisions, wearable devices up to cars.
Huawei wastes no time, register the Ark OSL brands clue to the possible name Huawei Ark OS arrives only a few days after the news that Google has suspended Android updates and services for Huawei smartphones, in compliance with the US call signed by Trump. In fact, the Chinese multinational has registered two brands in Europe only 4 days after Google was blocked.
These are the Huawei Ark OS and Huawei Ark brands registered in the international categories 09, for software compilers, operating systems for electronic devices and also in category 42 which also includes the design and development of mobile applications, software as a service (Saas) and other. In this article we report an image of the trademark registration from Patently Apple. It is interesting to note, however, that the registered trademarks do not concern China and Hong Kong, countries in which Huawei could use another name for its operating system or a different version.
We recall that the US ban was partially suspended by the Trump administration for 90 days, with effect starting from August 19th. From then on it is not excluded that the situation between the USA and China improves or that the Trump administration finds an agreement to resolve the Huawei question.
