Huge display made in OLED technology with a subtle cut-out. It's just an ideal proposition for gamers.
The Huawei Mate 20X model uses a screen-to-body ratio of over 87 percent. This is really a lot, although there are already devices with a higher ratio on the market. Just take a look at the Oppo proposals. However, the display is really huge, because it is characterized by a diagonal of 7.2". The content will be displayed at a resolution of 2244 ×1080 pixels. Such a custom resolution was dictated by an unusual (as in Huawei) cut-out in the upper part of the screen, which refers to a drop of water.
The matrix is made in OLED technology, which means that despite its intended use, the smartphone does not have a higher refresh rate than the basic 60Hz. In addition, the manufacturer decided to hide the screen under 2.5D glass.
However, this is not the end of the good news about the display used in the Huawei Mate 20X, because it has been covered with an active digitizer, so it is possible to operate it using the M-Pen stylus, which recognizes 4096 levels of pressure.
High performance, guaranteed by the Kirin 980, and super-fast data transfer.
Kirin 980 is the first processor based on Cortex-A76 cores, which are 75% more efficient and 58% more energy efficient than the previous generation of chips. The Kirin CPU system uses the intelligent Flex-scheduling mechanism that creates a 3-step energy efficiency architecture, consisting of two super-large Cortex-A76 cores, two large Cortex-A76 cores and four small Cortex-A55 cores. This allows for faster application startup, better multitasking, and overall smoother operation. Kirin 980 is supported by the Mali-G76 GPU, which provides a 46% performance boost. This ensures that even the most advanced applications run smoothly and quickly. It doesn't matter if your smartphone is in range of a wi-fi network or not.
In addition to all this, there is the presence of Turbo 2.0 GPU technology, 6-gigabyte LPDDR4X RAM and 128-gigabyte memory for all kinds of files.
With the 5G Balong 5000 (7 nm) modem used, the Mate 20X has two modern 7-nanometer integrated circuits on board. With four 5G antennas, the Mate 20X provides theoretical transmission speeds of up to 4.6 Gb/s. This allows a 1 GB file to be transferred in three seconds. The 5G modem supports Sub6 and mmWave.
Huge capacity battery with long battery life on a single charge. Plus stereo speakers from Dolby Atmos. And there is also a dedicated controller.
A 5000 mAh battery pack is responsible for energy efficiency, which is certainly an appropriate value given the size of the display, as well as its intended use. According to the information provided by the manufacturer, this giant will be able to offer the user over 6.5 hours of gameplay on a single charge cycle.
Two stereo speakers, supported by Dolby ATMOS technology and offering 7.1 surround sound, are responsible for the proper quality of the emitted sound.
In addition to all this, Huawei also presented a dedicated controller to make the game more enjoyable. It is mounted on the left side of the smartphone and has a knob and a cross.
The Mate 20X has several features in common with other Mate 20 series devices, including a triple lens with a 40-megapixel wide-angle sensor.
Price and availability of the beast for players.
The Huawei Mate 20X 5G MSRP has not yet been revealed, although it will certainly be higher than the traditional model that debuted in 2018.
