Huawei Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro: release date, specs and 5G

In a interview, Huawei's boss recalled that the lack of 5G on the P30 and P30 Pro did not result from any technical deficiencies, but from a strategic decision. According to Richard Yu, 5G infrastructures are not yet ready at the moment, but they will be by the launch of the Mate 30.
The Huawei Mate 30 will arrive in this fall
As a reminder, Huawei has already proven to its industrial partners, as well as to consumers, that it was able to integrate 5G chips to its smartphones if necessary. Indeed, the mate X (foldable Smartphone presented during the last MWC) and mate 20 X are 5G compatible. The argument of a strategic absence of 5G on P30 is therefore fully admissible.
"I think 5G will be ready this fall. It will be ready for the launch of the mate 30, "said Richard Yu, confirming the arrival of the mate 30 in the fall. A period traditionally favoured by Huawei for launching this range. Specifically, the mate 30 would arrive in September, indicated a representative of Huawei to the specialized site MySmartPrice. An unofficial niche that needs to be taken with tweezers at the moment.
HUawei mate 30 Pro: Kirin 985 chip and 4K recording
At the time we write these lines, a part of the technical specifications assumed by the mate 30 Pro can already be listed. The device would benefit from a new generation of processor, named Kirin 985. This new line of chips, designed by HiSilicon, would be able to handle 4K recording in 60 FPS. If this is the case, the mate 30 Pro would then be Huawei's first mobile to allow the capture of ultra HD videos at 60 seconds images. Like the very recent P30 Pro, Huawei's future flagship would also be equipped with four sensors dedicated to the photo.
For the rest, the mate 30 Pro would be equipped with a QHD + AMOLED slab, a 4 200 mAh battery, a USB type-C port, an IP68 certification, stereo speakers and a fingerprint sensor placed under the screen. MySmartPrice argues that the mobile would be, like the Galaxy S10, capable of charging other devices by induction. It would finally arrive on the market with a fast charger of 40 watts.
