Huaweis Android competition: Ark OS to be up to 60 percent faster than Android

The operating system, which is expected to be called Ark OS, should run on smartphones, computers, tablets, televisions, in cars and portable devices and be compatible with Android apps, announced Yu Chengdong, head of Huawei consumers.
The compiler, which translates the Android source codes into the new Huawei form, should, according to Yu, make the system 24 percent faster, the system response 44 percent faster and the apps performance of third-party providers even 60 percent faster.
The software could also be ready in autumn and distributed to the first users in China at the end of the year. Germany is likely to start at the beginning of 2020.
The first screenshots were also filed with the Office. However, the designs were already submitted at the end of March and are strongly reminiscent of the standard Android ad.
The development of its own operating system, which has been pursued since 2012, has taken on a whole new urgency for the second-largest smartphone manufacturer since the U.S. government decided to massively restrict the business of U.S. companies such as Google with the Chinese company.
This would mean that Huawei would have access to new versions of the Android operating system later than other smartphone providers and could not pre-install any Google services.
Huawei inventory users: What does the Android ban mean?
Huawei is the second largest smartphone provider in the world and also a leading network supplier.
For users of Huawei smartphones, this step means, among other things, that Google will continue to be able to fully supply the phones of current Huawei customers with updates and apps over the next three months. However, the relaxation does not apply to the use of US technology in new products.
The USA had put Huawei on a blacklist of companies whose business relations with US partners are subject to strict controls. Anyone who wants to sell or transfer US technology to Huawei must acquire a license. This may be refused if security interests are involved.
Huawei is suspected by US authorities of using his entrepreneurial activities for espionage in China. Evidence of this has not yet been made public. The USA is also urging other Western countries such as Germany to keep Huawei off the networks for the future super-fast 5G mobile communications standard. Huawei always rejected the US accusations.
