i100 TWS review: $34 Airpods clone
By Fields Corrielus 2019-07-07 11108 1
Today we cover yet another TWS headset, the i100. Let's see what the rate is like.
i100 TWS: Inside the caixa
Inside the box you get the charging box and the TWS wireless headphones, a USB cable to charge, instruction manual.
i100 TWS : Design
Coming to the project. The design of the i100 TWS has a strange resemblance to the Apple Air-pods. That's why the i100 TWS is considered an Apple airpod Supercopy or an Apple airpod Alternative. The pop-up box is its standard charging box which is small and Petite. It can easily fit in your pocket. The white finish looks exactly the same as the Airpods and is very nice to look at. Coming for the headphones themselves, they are similar to the Airpods with the long tip. The design is such that it fits snuggly in your ear.
Like the original Airpods, the speakers for this are sideways, which ensures that you get a nice sound and nothing too blaring. There is also the ear sensor in which we will enter.
But overall, 10/10 for the project as it looks and feels exactly like Apple's Airpods.
i100 TWS: Function and use
The function and use for the i100 TWS are considerably large. We will get into each feature, one by one.
i100 TWS: Caixa pop-up
The pop-up box is one of those features that made the Airpods immensely popular. This is a simple addition to the charging box called the W1 chip. When the box is opened, you see the charging interface on the screen of your smartphone. This is also the way to connect the pop-up box to your smartphone via Bluetooth. This has been a standard among other TWS devices like i60, i80, i90 and now the i100. The pop-up box is a must on a TWS device.
i100 TWS: Wireless charging
Wireless charging is one of the main features of TWS headsets. Most other versions do not appear to have wireless charging capability. This basically means, you can use a wireless QI-enabled charging mat or pad and carry the i100 TWS with it. This is considerably forward and is much better than the USB charging cable, which requires you to carry around the USB cable that can easily be lost.
i100 TWS: Sensor in-Ear
Another cool feature with the i100 is the in-Ear sensor. The in-Ear sensor is basically the device knows when you have the headphones and when you are not wearing them. It automatically pauses the music when you take the headphones out of your ear and then plays the music again when you put the headphones back on. This is a super useful feature that allows you to have a quick conversation with someone without having to lose the music.
i100 TWS: Touch Sensors
Like most TWS devices, the i100 also has touch sensors. Touch sensors basically allow you to control the headphones without any intervention from the phone. This means, you can touch your headphones and then control your experience.
A single tap to pause and control the game. Double tap for volume control and triple tap to play the next or previous song.
i100 TWS: Battery life
The battery life on the i100 is very good. It is in 4 hours and has a waiting time of 40 hours, which is very large.
i100 TWS: Som
The sound quality in the i100 TWS is one of the best compared to all other previous versions of TWS. The i100 TWS has fantastic bass quality and high quality sound. Generally TWS wireless headsets do not have good bass, because they are super small, but the i100 TWS is very big.
i100 TWS: Calls
Because TWS i100 headsets are connected to your phone via Bluetooth, you can pick up calls directly from your headphones with a single tap. The quality is great and you can remove one of the headphones to leave it in better ambient sound. Because the headsets work independently of each other, you can put one in the charging box and talk to the other for a much more perfect experience.
i100 TWS: Final thoughts
The i100 TWS is one of the heavyweights in the TWS wireless headset set. This is a strong contender and is a great value for the price you pay for it. There is no feature that the Airpods have that the i100 TWS does not have. This is a complete product with fantastic sound, incredible battery life, impressive touch feature and great sensors.
