iPhone XE: a successor to the iPhone SE?

By  Linky Johnson 2019-05-05 323 0

An iPhone XE, the spiritual successor of the iPhone SE, is reportedly under construction on the Apple side. With its 4.8-inch OLED display only, it would benefit from a compact format that we hadn't really had at the Cupertino firm for years.

Despite the popularity of the iPhone SE, it has been years since Apple relaunched a truly compact mobile phone. At the time, the SE had seduced for its small 4-inch screen, the colours offered and the possibility of buying an iPhone at a lower price. Well, his successor may well be on the way, since PC Tablet says that the Cupertino company is currently working on an iPhone XE.

The iPhone 11 could be accompanied by an iPhone XE

Citing a source "closely associated with the assembly plants of Foxconn (Apple's subcontractor) in India", the media refers to an iPhone XE that would take up most of the design of the iPhone XS, but with an OLED display of only 4.8 inches. The smartphone would also be available on Face ID but would not have a glass back but rather an aluminium one. No wireless charging, so.

This supposed iPhone XE would be equipped with a single 12 MP photo sensor at the rear and f.1.8 opening. Finally, we learn that the device would run thanks to the Bionic A12 SoC house that we find on the latest generation of iPhone.

The iPhone XE is manufactured exclusively in India, according to the report. It is not known whether Apple plans to market this smartphone worldwide or only in developing countries where it is having difficulty establishing itself, such as India or China. Next September, the apple brand will present its new iPhone. The most premium of them could include a triple photo sensor and reverse wireless charging.
