iPhone XE: Do we really need a 4.8 inch model?

According to the latest rumors, iPhone SE 2 can be simply called iPhone XE. This would arrive with a reduced margins, facial recognition an OLED screen of 4.8 inches. To have a notion, it would not have a body much superior to that of the model 5S.
What is often read about this possible launch is that no one wants such small smartphones anymore. Still, the iPhone SE was already small by 2016 standards, and that didn't stop it from selling 'like hot rolls'.
If it sold well, iPhone XE would make sense
First of all, I had the power of the iPhone 6S in a smaller body. And then, it was all similar to the much-loved iPhone 5S. On top of that, it came at a very low price by Apple's usual standards. If it would make sense in 2019, it's another conversation.
If we look at the current offer, the iPhone XR seems to be the replacement for SE. It's currently the "low-price" smartphone of Cupertino's company, but it lacks something. It lacks the compact design that some consumers still appreciate.
But would this make sense right now? The answer is probably no. Still, given the nostalgia, if Apple launched this iPhone XE at an inviting price, it would sell very well. But it's unlikely that Cupertino's company will come to that.
