Is this Huawei Mate 30 Using the Huawei Operating System -- HongMeng?

By  Adeline Belluz 2019-06-06 1062 0

The Mate 30 series is reportedly not going to run Android when introduced in China. Instead, he will carry the operating system made by Huawei itself.

This information was leaked by a tipster who was also a contributor to the Slash Leaks leak site. He wrote the info through his Twitter account.

Furthermore, the owner of the @ RODENT950 Twitter account also called the Mate 30 series to be released on September 22. Even if missed, he said it would not be too far from that date.

 Mate 30 series

This is certainly interesting. Because, some time ago, Huawei did say it would launch a homemade operating system at the end of the year in China.

This action could not be separated from Google's decision to limit access to Android for the number two cellphone vendor in the world. Besides Android, Huawei also loses access to other Google services such as the Play Store application store.

If you look at predictions from the launch date of the Mate 30 series which can be said to be nearing the end of the year, it is certainly not impossible if the cellphone really adapts the Android OS replacement made by Huawei. This is also reinforced by further information provided by the @ RODENT950 Twitter account.

He said for the global version. it is still possible for the series of high-end phones to run other operating systems. This is also in line with the announcement of Huawei some time ago stating that the new OS will be released outside China in the first quarter or second quarter of 2020.

The Tipster called the Mate 30 series operating system named Hongmeng, the first name that emerged as the title of the OS made by the Shenzhen-based company. On the other hand, recently it was known that Huawei had registered the ARK OS name, which could also be the name of the operating system it made.

Previously, a number of leaks about the specifications of the Mate 30 series had circulated in cyberspace. He is said to be using a 6.71 inch AMOLED screen. The in-display fingerprint feature is also planted on the phone's screen.

One interesting thing, this series will be separated from Notch, while at the same time making it break the 'tradition' on Huawei's flagship cell phone already. Related to this, a rendering circulated which showed that the device would carry a punch hole.

About the innards, this smartphone will be powered by the Kirin 985 chipset and support 5G via the Balong 5000 Modem. Versions that only support the 4G network are also called to be provided. Kirin 985 is likely to be introduced in August.

Four rear cameras are called to be owned by the Mate 30 series, which are placed in a box-shaped cross section, complete with a flash LED in the middle. As a complement, the 4,200mAh battery that is supported by fast charging 55W is ready to accompany, as quoted from Gizmochina, Wednesday

Not yet known what the differences offered by Mate 30 and the Mate 30 Pro in this series. It is interesting to wait for what the original form will be, at the same time whether it will really carry the operating system made by Huawei itself or not.
