LG will launch the first 'gaming' TV with 8K supporting Sony and Microsoft consoles in 2020

Thanks to the Realtek processor, the LG TV will be able to decode the AV1 / HEVC / VP9 video formats into 8K resolutions. In addition, it will allow to manage frame rates and resize 4K content at 8K resolution. It will have support for HDMI 2.1, which will allow using the Variable Refresh Rate technology. USB, PCIe and Bluetooth connectivity will be added.

Theoretically Xbox Project Scarlett and the PlayStation 5 will support 8K in video, in games or by chance. The new consoles of both companies will reach the market in 2020.
