Meizu 16s Pro was newly released yesterday in China. It features Snapdragon 855 Plus processor, 48MP triple rear cameras, UFS 3.0 high speed flash memory and the brand-new Flyme 8 operating system. Although it offers so many high-end specs, it is only priced from 2699 yuan (about $377), which reminds us of another smartphone - Redmi K20 Pro (Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro), as it also offers us attracting specs at a budget price. So how we make a choice between the two phones? Let’s make a detailed comparison to find the answer.

The two smartphones adopt different design. On the front, thanks to the pup-up front camera design, the Redmi K20 Pro (Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro) offers you a larger (6.39-inch) full screen and more narrow bezels than the Meizu 16s Pro. While the front camera of the Meizu 16s Pro is placed on the right of the top bezel. Besides, both the two smartphones offer an in-screen fingerprint unlock. On the back, both smartphones have a vertical arranged triple cameras.

In addition, both Meizu 16s Pro and Redmi K20 Pro offer a Type-C charging port, but the difference is that the Redmi K20 Pro also offers a 3.5mm headphone jack while the Meizu 16s Pro doesn’t offer it.

Although both the Meizu 16s Pro and Redmi K20 Pro are mid-range smartphones, they adopt different processors. The Meizu 16s Pro is powered by the latest Snapdragon 855 Plus chip, while the Redmi K20 Pro is powered by Snapdragon 855 chip.

Compared to the Snapdragon 855, the Snapdragon 855 Plus doesn’t have big changes, but it still gets a performance boost in CPU clock speed and gaming performance. Both the Meizu 16s Pro and Redmi K20 Pro come with triple rear cameras, but they offer different specs. The Meizu 16s Pro triple rear camera module consists of a 48MP primary lens (f/1.7), a 20MP telephoto lens (f/2.6) and a 16MP ultra wide-angle lens (f/2.2), while the Redmi K20 Pro offers a 48MP primary lens (f/1.75), an 8MP telephoto lens (f/2.4) and a 13MP ultra wide-angle lens (f/2.4). So the Meizu 16s Pro offers higher pixels in the telephoto lens and ultra wide-angle lens.

Moreover, thanks to the 27W fast charging, the phone can be fully charged quickly when it is in low power.

Both the two smartphones offer 6+128GB and 8+128GB memory options. On that basis, the Meizu 16s Pro also offers 8+256GB memory version.

It all depends. The Meizu 16s Pro will bring you an overall better performance, but it is $50 higher than the Redmi K20 Pro. So, is it worthy for you to pay more $50 to buy the Meizu 16s Pro? It all depends. If you are a game lover and don’t care much about the $50 price difference, the Meizu 16s Pro is a better choice for you thanks to the more powerful Snapdragon 855 Plus and UFS 3.0 high speed flash memory.

However, when it comes to the price-performance ratio, I’ll recommend you the Redmi K20 Pro. Although it offers a slightly modest specs, which doesn’t have much impact on the phone’s overall performance. Moreover, you will get it at a cheaper price.
