Meizu POP vs Xiaomi Mi AirDots: which Bluetooth headphones are better

Which headphones are more convenient
I liked Meizu POP more: They are perfectly seated in the ears and do not fall out, light and comfortable, almost not felt while using. Xiaomi AirDots, by the way, also lungs, in ears sit a little differently, but a little larger. On landing Meizu I liked more, they are more convenient. But again, this is a very personal question, so before you buy try trying on and make your choice.
In terms of design Meizu POP is slightly more interesting due to the glossy more "expensive" design, and Xiaomi AirDots look simpler and cheaper.
Which case is better
If the Meizu POP case is made of glossy plastic, then Xiaomi AirDots it Matt. It feels like I liked the Mayzushny case more pleasantly. But the gloss will be scratched, while the case Xiaomi scratch the keys in the pocket is more difficult.
But the cover itself in Meizu much bigger and bigger, it will not hide in a small side pocket of jeans. But the headphones Xiaomi with great difficulty, but still you can shove.
In covers the headphones sit tightly, they hold magnets. Therefore headphones do not fall out, even if you open the lid and especially shake.
And another important point. Thanks to the light indicators on the Meizu POP, you can determine what is there with the remainder of the charge: there are four diodes, each notes 25% of the charge.
But the Xiaomi indicator is only one, and it burns only while charging the cover, and it is not so convenient.
You meet on a dress, and packing at Xiaomi from absolutely cheap cardboard. Let's move on. The set, in principle, the same: wire for charging, cover, ear pads. But Meizu also has a set of translucent large nozzles for more reliable landing of headphones.
I'm not a big fan of headphones, I prefer to talk in the microphone of the phone, so as not to torment people with the surrounding sounds. All the same noise reduction works so so. So in the case of Xiaomi and Meizu chatting on the street did not like: People complained about noise and gum. In the room, of course, everything is not so bad, and the headphones quietly turn into a headset.
Where is the best sound
The development of modern headphones comes from the "sound quality" setting to the "usability" value. By this I mean that we have become less steam on the theme of sound quality, preferring just comfortable headphones. Stuck in his ear and went, and the music just creates the background. For reference audio It is still better to look towards other models, and Xiaomi and Meizu are more about freedom from wires, and not about high-quality audio.
Everyone's hearing is different, so I'm going to share my feelings. The Meizu sound picture is more balanced, and Xiaomi has a very bright, even sharp middle. But the low frequencies on the Meizu sound weaker, the bass is not so powerful, but Xiaomi annoying presses on his ears. In any case, these are simple headphones without bloat: There is no support for the codec aptX, so it's quite simple.
The volume is large: I connected the headphones to the iPhone XR, listen to more than 60-70% of the maximum power is already unpleasant, so you can oglosit.
If Meizu is connected via Bluetooth 4.2, Xiaomi has a more modern Bluetooth 5.0. In terms of the stability of communication Xiaomi I liked more. On Meizu occasionally there are "plugs" when you go and listen to songs, and the sound for a moment is interrupted. This is much less common on Xiaomi. But with Xiaomi there is another problem: get the headphones out of the case, insert into the ears, in one music is, and in the other-not.
It's a glucanul earpiece, and you have to reconnect. Well or in general they do not cling automatically to the phone, then it is necessary to start the menu with the previously detected devices and to connect to them manually. And even subtlety: it is better to insert the right earpiece first, and then left. The right plays the role of "presenter" and the Left "slave" in this pair, so sometimes there may be failures.
But if you hide the right earpiece Meizu in the case for recharging, the left without it does not work. Xiaomi has no such strange features. The probability that you will use only one earpiece, small, but not enough!
If you watch videos on YouTube, you can feel the video and sound in sync. The delay is minimal, but palpable, this effect occurs on Xiaomi and Meizu. But here already depends on the device-source: On smartphones with Bluetooth 5.0 There is no problem, but on older versions, it occurs.
How to command headphones, if there are no buttons on the body? Gestures! The Meizu process is managed by tapping on the hull. You can switch tracks and pause and change the volume. To reduce the volume, hold your finger on the left earpiece, and to increase do the same with the right. Two taps on the right earpiece are translated to the next track, and three to the left-return to the previous.
Xiaomi support for gestures is much simpler: You can only pause playback. But you can't switch songs, as you can increase or decrease the volume. To do this, you have to climb into the pocket behind the phone. Uncomfortable! Oh yes, another double touch on the body of the headphones can start a voice assistant. But the same can Meizu POP. Alternatively, on Xiaomi you can give commands to a Google assistant to manage your music if you use headphones paired with an Android smartphone. But this is just a wild scenario: just imagine how it would look in the rush hour somewhere in the subway.
And, touching the case of Xiaomi, you will hear the commands in Chinese! Do not be frightened, it is such a feature of headphones. Why not confine yourself to a neutral squeak or add language support in English, as Meizu did? But you can learn Chinese.
Meizu headphones appeared six months earlier than Xiaomi. To charge the cover here is used a modern USB Type-C, class. But Xiaomi, for unknown reason, archaic micro-USB, well why?! The work, as they say, is not affected, but it is strange.
And the Meizu charger can be put on a wireless Qi-stand and charged in this way! Xiaomi has no such possibility, use the cable.
Xiaomi AirDots work not very long and sit down hours for 3-3.5 listening music at 60-70% of the maximum volume. A fully charged cover is enough for three recharges.
Work Meizu POP A little longer: 3.5-4 hours, and the case will charge them four times.
The products of Xiaomi became if not an ideal in terms of price and quality, it is exactly an example of how you can produce interesting things. But on the example of Xiaomi AirDots I can say that this time the Chinese have proved the opposite. And in this case, choosing between Meizu POP and Xiaomi AirDots, I vote for the first two hands. Better sound, longer and more stable work, more thoughtful management.
