The premium build and design quality of the Tbook 16 Pro have carried over to the Tbook 16 Power: impressive 11.6 inch screen, same razor-sharp 1920 x 1080 (FHD), Micro HDMI out, Micro SD, great multi-position kickstand and keyboard. But the real difference is under the hood with significantly more powerful internals. The table above neatly illustrates this.
The Tbook 16 Pro is powered by the impressive Intel Cherry Trail X5-Z8300 with 4GB RAM while its bigger sibling, the Tbook 16 Power (available on Gearbest), packs an even faster Atom X7-Z8750 paired with 8GB of DDR3 RAM. The result is unmistakable: faster performance, better multitasking and a smoother user experience.
We decided to take a closer look and ran Antutu, the comprehensive Android Benchmarking application to conduct rigorous performance testing and to get a better idea of the full potential of these respective tablets. For those unfamiliar with Antutu, the application measures the following areas: 3D performance, UX, CPU power, and RAM performance. As you can see, the Tbook 16 Power is superior in every metric compared to the Tbook 16 Power, with a final score of 88738 to the Pro's 56383 – an increase of over 57%.
Both these two models are dual OS for maximum versatility, however while the Tbook 16 Pro runs Android 5.1 and Windows 10, the Tbook 16 Power runs Android 6.0.1 and Windows 10. In fact, this is the first tablet from Teclast to come with Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) which is really cool.
Regarding the camera hardware, the Tbook 16 Pro only has a single camera while the Tbook 16 Power takes advantage of a dual camera set up - both front and rear, with a 5.0MP rear camera for easy and convenient photography.
The battery capacity of Tbook 16 Pro is 3.7V/7200mAh but Tbook 16 Power gets a bump to a built-in lithium-ion battery delivering 3.8V/8500mAh of juice. Not only is it safer and lighter, the Tbook 16 Power's battery can provide up to 7 hours of uninterrupted video airtime on a full charge. Pretty impressive in our opinion!
The music, video and E-book formats displayed in the table indicate that the Tbook 16 Power tablet supports more multimedia formats than the Tbook 16 Pro, so you'll never worry about the compatibility.
What makes the Teclast Tbook 16 such a surprise?
Powerful CPU and RAM combination
Instead of the Z8300 typically found in tablets in this segment, the Tbook 16 Power is driven by a powerful Intel Atom X7-Z8750 (Cherry Trail) CPU with a maximum frequency of 2.56Ghz (turbo), paired with integrated Intel HD Graphics 405 (Gen 8) for an effortlessly smooth gaming experience.
8GB of DDR3 RAM provides over double the RAM bandwidth of a single channel 4GB tablet, which allows you get faster operating experience from surfing website, playing games and starting programs. So it is really a nice big step up over the all the Atom X5 Z8300 tablets.
Amazing Type-C Port is USB evolved
The original Type-C port comes with USB3.0 data transfer, display port and intelligent charge function, allowing you to seamlessly connect other devices freely and use advanced adapters to achieve the quick charge function.
A stunning visual experience
The full HD IPS (In-Plane Switching) display provides a gorgeous 1920 x 1080 display for rich colors, deep contrast, and vivid images for the Teclast Tbook 16 Power. The IPS technology ensures impressive viewing angles, while the utra-thin screen technology provides valuable power-saving and longevity. The result: a wonderful visual experience for both photography and video playback.
The bottom line? Our review team was more than a little impressed with the Teclast Tbook 16 Power Tablet: the combination of a superb feature set, great looks, and that low price means it deserves to be everyone's shopping list. This little beast has just landed in Gearbest, and we're delighted to make it available to our discerning customers at an exclusively low price under $350.
