OnePlus 6T review: Is OnePlus 6T Worth Buying?

With the disappearance of notch display, we have entered an era of teardrop notch display. OnePlus 6T is not excluded. From the first generation of OnePlus mobile phone to current OnePlus 6T, there is basically no change of phone’s body size, but now it changes from 6.28-inch notch display to 6.41-inch teardrop notch display, which owes to the shortening of four-sided border (from OnePlus 6’s 5.85mm to 4.3mm). This also makes OnePlus 6T get a super high screen-to-body ratio, which gives us a better browsing experience. The surface of its screen is also changed from Corning's fifth-generation gorilla glass material to the sixth generation. Compared with the previous phones, its ability to prevent falling and scratches is stronger. Its body design still follows OnePlus 6 — light and round.
OnePlus 6T doesn't feature the back fingerprint recognition design, because it has in-screen fingerprint recognition, which makes OnePlus 6T's back simple. OnePlus 6T uses a light-sensitive screen fingerprint, which is set in the lower half of the front screen, and this is comfortable. The recognition speed is fast. In addition to unlocking the screen, you can also quickly enter the shortcut application function by pressing it for longer time. This is also an excellent improvement compared with the previous generation.
In terms of configuration, OnePlus 6T’s processor is same as the previous OnePlus 6 — Snapdragon 845, but there are still some adjustments. For instance, it doesn’t offer the 64GB flash memory configuration. This is not good news for consumers who don't like large shortage. OnePlus 6T is equipped with 128/256GB UFS2.1 dual-channel high-speed flash memory; the storage is large and speed is fast. The highest 8GB LPDDR4X four-channel memory processing frequency is up to 4266MHz.
In terms of taking photos, the hardware used for OnePlus 6T and OnePlus 6 is exactly the same, but OnePlus 6T has been upgraded in software algorithms. The ability of taking photos can be influenced not only by the hardware but also the software algorithms. OnePlus 6T has improved in imaging at nights mainly by multiple synthetic processing algorithms. This algorithm let us get nice night scenes of cities mainly by HDR, jitter, noise reduction and enhanced analysis. In the photo taken in night mode, it is not difficult to see that the colors are accurate; the noise is less, and the details of dark part are processed well whether it is in strong light or low light. OnePlus 6T is trying to show the real scene in the night mode.
There is no big change in OnePlus 6T's size, under this situation, its battery capacity increases from OnePlus 6's 3200mAh to 3700mAh, and it is still equipped with 20W fast charging power adapter. After testing, if you charge OnePlus 6T with its 5V 4A fast charging power adapter, it can be charged to 89% electricity in an hour. Moreover, its battery life is 23% higher than the previous generation, which is also commendable.
OnePlus 6T, as an upgraded version of OnePlus 6, has improved much in performance. The most obvious changes are the teardrop notch display with larger screen-to-body ratio, screen with light sensor and fingerprint sensor, the 3700mAh capacity battery, and the excellent city night view. In my opinion, OnePlus 6T is a very good with a price of less than 500 dollars.
It is no denying that you can get a comfortable feeling. At the same time, it has nice design, larger screen-to-body ratio, the top core configuration on the market and excellent shooting functions. It would be unreasonable if you don't buy OnePlus 6T.
