OnePlus 7 Pro price: OnePlus CEO suggests it will costs more than 700 euros

By  Linky Johnson 2019-04-25 255 0

The price of the OnePlus 7 Pro exceeds €700, suggests Pete LAU, the CEO of the Chinese brand. Unsurprisingly, the manufacturer wants to compete with Samsung, Huawei and others on the high-end segment.

It's official, the OnePlus 7 Pro will be the most expensive smartphone ever offered by OnePlus. According to an interview with Pete LAU given to the verge, the variant would indeed be sold at a price "in the waters of those of the Galaxy S10, Huawei P30 Pro and Apple iPhone XS".

The price of OnePlus 7 Pro exceeds €700, tease Pete Lau

On SINA Weibo, the Chinese social network, the President of the young brand has shown a little precision during an Exchange with a surfer, report our colleagues from Gizmochina. A OnePlus fan has indeed asked if "5 000 Yuan will be enough to buy the OnePlus 7 Pro", equivalent to 745 dollars or 665 euros.

Pete LAU quickly replied that "it would be just enough." One can therefore set a price between €700 and €750 in Europe, taking into account the habits of the brand and the various costs. By way of comparison, the OnePlus 6T was launched at a price of 3399 Yuan in China, US $549 and €549 in Europe. A OnePlus 7 Pro at €750 is therefore not impossible.

It's not really a big surprise considering the technical data of the beast. The OnePlus 7 Pro would indeed be equipped with a quad HD + 90 Hz AMOLED display, a triple 48 MP photo sensor, a 4000 mAh battery, a Snapdragon 855, 12 GB RAM and a 5G modem. However, OnePlus does not abandon the mid-range market. The manufacturer will indeed propose a standard OnePlus 7, which should resemble the OnePlus 6T. Marketed at a more moderate price, but still higher than the 6T, the Smartphone would have a double photo sensor and a screen topped with a fine notch.

For the record, OnePlus will present oneplus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro on May 14, 2019 at a Conference in London. According to the latest leaks, smartphones will be released on the market a few days after the presentation, on 22 may 2019.
