OnePlus 7 Pro vs. Honor 20 Pro vs. Huawei P30 Pro: cameras
● Huawei P30 Pro 112 points
● Honor 20 Pro 111 points
● OnePlus 7 Pro 111 points
Once again, cameras are the most interesting part of our phone comparison — and even more so today as all of the smartphones in this review hold camera performance as their key highlights.
The Huawei P30 Pro is currently ranked as the best camera phone on the market by DxOMark scoring an impressive 112 points. The phone comes with a quad camera system made up of a 40MP primary sensor with an f/1.6 aperture, a 20MP ultra-wide sensor with an f/2.2 aperture and an 8MP zoom sensor (f/2.4 aperture) and an additional Time of Flight sensor (TOF) allowing for more depth. One of the best things about the phone’s cameras is the 5x zoom and a 50x digital zoom. On the front, there is a 32MP selfie shooter with AI beautifying features and smart lighting.
The Honor 20 Pro follows the P30 Pro quite closely and takes the third place in DxOMark camera rating. On the back, the phone features four cameras: a 48 MP main sensor with f/1.4 aperture, a 16MP ultrawide lens with f/2.2 aperture, an 8MP telephoto lens and a dedicated 2MP macro camera. On the front, there is a 32MP selfie shooter.
The OnePlus 7 Pro is a relatively new player in the camera game — but had already scored 111 points and shares the third place in DxOMark’s rating along with the Honor 20 Pro. There are three cameras on the phone’s back: a 48MP main cam (f/1.6 aperture), a 16MP ultra-wide cam (f/2.2 aperture) and an 8MP telephoto cam. According to the company, the 7 Pro uses three different focusing systems: phase-detect AF, contrast AF and laser focusing, which makes for a better performance in both good and poor light. For photos, the phone scores 118 points and falls behind the leading Huawei P30 Pro just when it comes to artifacts and zoom. On the front, there is a 16 MP pop-up cam.
OnePlus 7 Pro vs. Honor 20 Pro vs. Huawei P30 Pro: the verdict

The the truth is, you’d do great with either one — especially if you are after prime camera performance: the Huawei P30 Pro, the Honor 20 Pro and the OnePlus 7 Pro are the three top ranking camera devices according to DxOMark. The OnePlus 7 Pro and the Honor 20 Pro offer a slightly different perspective when it comes to design, while the P30 Pro goes with the classically prime look. The phones come with similar offers when it comes to power and battery.
Price-wise, however, the phones are not the same. The Huawei P30 Pro is the most expensive of the three coming at $899 for the simplest version. The Honor 20 Pro starts at significantly less —$670 while the OnePlus 7 Pro is the most price-efficient of the three devices at $669 (for the 6GB version), which has earned it the title of “the best Android phone value of 2019”.
