Featuring plenty of Pokemon from the upcoming film

To celebrate the release of the film "Detective Pikachu", Niantic will offer from May 7 to 17, 2019 a version of his game in augmented reality Pokémon Go with characters from the film. Players will be able to find the Pokémon in the film and play in places in the fictional city of Ryme. More surprises await Pokémon hunters.

As the movie "Detective Pikachu" is released this week, video game company Niantic, the originator of the Pokémon Go game, has decided to ride the wave. From Tuesday, May 7 to May 17, 2019, fans of the Pokémon universe will be able to find the adorable version of Pikachu as a detective in the augmented reality game.

Players will have a better chance of finding the Pokémon in the movie. In particular, they may try to catch a Pikachu wearing his detective hat as in the film and see him appear on their photographs using the cliché mode. In addition to the adorable yellow creature, players will be able to find Psykokwak and Rondoudou and even have the chance to capture a Capuman Shiny.

In addition to being able to catch the Pokémon from the film, hunters will have the opportunity to unlock goodies from the film such as t-shirts and other caps bearing the effigy of Detective Pikachu to modify their avatars as well as to compete in places from the film.

"Detective Pikachu" will follow Detective Pikachu and a young man named Tim in search of his father. The improbable duo will travel through the city of Ryme, where humans and Pokémon coexist in harmony before putting their finger on a plot.
